Either way, you might want to contact your card issuer to get their take on it.

The one time this happened to me, I phoned my CC company and was told that it was not illegal but there was absolutely no good legal reason and a great many illegal reasons why a company might ask for this kind of info - it was far more than reasonably required and there was more than enough verification info in the processing system without it - even for overseas clients.

So they took note of all the details of the order, including the final sum, flagged the transaction as potentially suspicious and asked me to email the company with an instruction to either submit the transaction without it, or cancel altogether. They submitted and it went through without problem.

Any time I've encountered it since, I have simply cancelled there and then!

True themselves ask me through live chat. they ask to send the scan of my driving licence through email.
i have no option, my cc already debt a month ago so i cannot canceled this order. i just want my order to be processed and get my item, so i just do what they ask even i do not like it.

If your CC has already been debited, then I really cannot see any need for this - I take it they have all your other details and that the billing/shipping addys match?

Yes they both match.

I'm still waiting my order being processed. My order status is still waiting fullfillment from the last 2 days, my last time chat with them.

Still unsent.

Let see if they still have good business ethical after my negative review on them using this pherotruth forum.
