I wouldn't be surprised tho, all sorts of people out there, but wouldn't take much to track them down especially if its shipped to a specific address. Living in a 21st century urbanised big brother state does have its upsides. You can't get away with anything here,

Concerning credit cards, I heard the problem's been prevalent across the globe, there have been cases where someone online tried to use our cards for purchases. Meng got hit, I got hit.

I got hit too.

It was after purchasing with my MC Card in Amazon.

That´s why everybody should allow Paypal. It´s much safer.

I blocked my card and got my money back in a couple of weeks,
but I had to go to the bank, the police station, back to the bank, to the bank again two weeks later... a pain in the ass...

Now I use a system where you create a virtual credit card that holds only the the exact amount of the purchase, and generate a new one for each new purchase. It takes an extra couple of minutes to do, but your transactin is safer, and nobody can buy anything with the digits you just used.

Anyway, It would be great if TP included paypal in their paymnent options.

needed 4 ... once again ... FOUR new credit cards this year !

Extraball ... what kinda system is this that you are using ... doesnt matter how much time it takes ..

ahmm btw .. when i pay at TP with Credit Card it uses safer pay where you get an extra pin sent to your mobile phone that you have to type in ... good thing !

Hey Pago!

It´s an standard service from my bank, you don´t evan have to pay for it, so I guess you can ask yours and they will have it too. I use a regular master card (debit) for it.

I always check my account on the internet, and the feature is in the same screen. Whenever you need to pay for something, there´s an option named "create a virtual credic card". You choose the exacta mount of money you want to put in that card (the amount you have to pay) and it generates a new set of crdic card number, expiration date and security number.

Then, you use those numbers for the transaction, and they don´t work anymore, so if someone tries to use them, it´s like if they were trying to use an empty account.

I don´t know how do tehy make it, but I guess It´s a simple procedure for them, so if you ask, almost sure they will give it to you.

Sounds pretty safe to me, but I´m no expert.

Hi Nikki, I'm still awaiting contact from you concerning removal of the shipping/courier charge. Can I have your email details please as well as an expected timeline of resolution of this matter. Demetra has emailed me saying that the courier charge is compulsary as my order is a big order, however she also mentioned that the shipping has been discounted heavily. I do not see how $90 is heavily discounted.

It it True themselves asking this or their card processing agent?

Either way, you might want to contact your card issuer to get their take on it.

The one time this happened to me, I phoned my CC company and was told that it was not illegal but there was absolutely no good legal reason and a great many illegal reasons why a company might ask for this kind of info - it was far more than reasonably required and there was more than enough verification info in the processing system without it - even for overseas clients.

So they took note of all the details of the order, including the final sum, flagged the transaction as potentially suspicious and asked me to email the company with an instruction to either submit the transaction without it, or cancel altogether. They submitted and it went through without problem.

Any time I've encountered it since, I have simply cancelled there and then!
