Two recent compliment grabbers from TFS oils for me and quite worthy of a larger bottle buy:

Aramis Havana oil

and last night my buddy's wife was RAVING about how good I smelled with: Tom Ford cologne oil
I also had 3 drops GOA and 4 sprays of Style on (hah!)
She even said "I know what you're getting for Christmas" while pointing at her Husband

But both smell VERY good

Very cool! I've been looking at Havana. Might have to take a closer look. Thanks!

Oh at least get a sample.

And Snoopy, I have a feeling you'd like Oscar Pour Lui (Pour Lui = for him en (francais) based on the scents you dig from LPMP. It's just a hunch, but I think accurate and worth a sample. I'd take it off your hands if you don't like it.

I'm hoping they have a sale either for Black Friday or around Christmas.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll have to look that one up!

I posted this in the Black Friday sale post as well.

So I got 15 new samples from the latest sale.

Do any of y'all remember Fahrenheit by Dior. I'm wearing just a little to test it and wow. A little goes a long way. It smells just like the stuff my room mate wore in college. Hint of gasoline included.

I get a lot of fragrances from here by reading reviews on Fragrantica of the actual designers. Many I get I haven't even smelled the 'real' thing. But the ones I have smelled smell remarkably like the actual originals.

It's all ak4d4's fault. After I started reading his 'frag collection' thread I got intrigued. Now I'm in!

Yup. They really nailed Fahrenheit. It smells really close.

So I happened to be at a mall this afternoon and decided to stroll into the Sephora. They had some Tom Ford's so I had to smell them. I hit myself with the Tom Ford Noir Extreme and fellas this stuff smells exactly like the Noir Extreme aftershave gel I got from TFS. Stuff is nice!

I continue to be impressed by their accuracy with their oils matching the colognes they mimic.

On the other hand, I liked their Aramis Havana oil so much I searched for the real thing. Found I could buy a bottle for less than $20 and did that. Once again, spot on.
Buying the oil from TFS would have been more expensive. But their oil versions certainly can be a bargain for some of the expensive designer brands like Tom Ford, Creed, Bond No. 9, etc.

I just noticed that The Fragrance Shop now sells their own version of Creed's Bois du Portugal. Has anyone tried it? I plan on ordering in the next few days because BdP is actually a favorite of mine and I've finally reached a level of maturity where I feel comfortable wearing the scent.

I tried a sample of real BdP years ago, but felt like it didn't really match me. I've never really been into the spicey stuff. It smelled good, objectively speaking, but just not me.

One thing I did get recently as a sample from TFS is Aqua di Gio Profumo. I read it described on Basenotes as "AdG all grown up". I like it! It has the original's signature notes, but there's just something a touch darker to it that makes it, imho, a bit more appropriate for someone well outside of his 20's to wear without it feeling like a the cologne version of a red convertible and a combover. Big Grin
