Just used my fake Molecule 01 (Iso E Super) and a very liberal dose of Fragrance Shop Aventus spritz and did not seem to get any reactions of disgust. Used about a full pump of Kane distributed anongst 6 app points + a drop of Dirty Primitive pre-mixed with Bad Wolf scent and some Max T 150 under my nose.

I guarantee some people can smell it. Very strong. It's genetic. Some people smell some don't. People won't wrinkle their noses or throw up or anything. They'll just think you don't shower and have horrible BO. It's my biggest problem with Kane.

Garry advised that I layer in a cover scent. I was experimenting with that for a while, but it seems the best thing is a very long-lasting cover. I use Paco Rabanna One Million just not in love with that scent.

Also, be careful with BW + Kane. Crazy hits but people got really scared of me for no reason. It was like a deep fear that I'm a dangerous person or psychopath. Edit: Oh sorry, I see that's just the scent. I was on the phone when I was writing it lol

Yeah, I have never used Kane and Bad Wolf but whatever I am wearing I always use a drop of Dirty Primitive and some Max T 150 under my nose.

Intense.

Resurrecting an old thread just because... One of the things I love about the Fragrance Shop is how they have quite a few discontinued scents that you can only find if you go through eBay or some specialty store. I went through and ordered a bunch of old colognes that I wore in my teens and twenties (before I had the money to buy anything of true quality). I couldn't believe just how much they smelled like the original scents I remember yet without the alcohol burn that came long with the scents. I'd also picked up a few samples of scents for my bride to help her stroll down memory lane with me.

The first cologne I'd ever bought was Eternity because a girl I knew liked it. I smelled it and decided I liked it too so I wore it for a while. My main club scent for a long time was Safari because it smelled masculine and mature without being old. Most importantly, it helped distinguish me from the sea of Drakkar that so often soaked the dance floors of my youth. Both TFS versions are spot on to the originals. I also bought myself another Aventus oil. Say what you will about the scent, it gets compliments and that is my main area of interest.

I live in corn country so even though I liked B9: Wall Street, it isn't the type of scent that most small town people appreciate. Trying to decide what scent to try next from TFS. Any suggestions?

I'm not finding the post anywhere, so if anyone can point me to it. Somebody posted that they experimented with the TFS body spritz by adding 3 of the same fragrance oil trial vials to it for proper potency.

I don't remember if it was the 2 oz body spritz that they added the 3 vials to or if it was the 8 oz body spritz. If anyone can help me I'd appreciate it.

I'm going to pull the trigger on Virgin Island Water and see how it goes. I just want to know which body spritz to buy to equal their chemistry experiment!

Thanks

WOW. That's going to be a POTENT spray. I didn't see it either so we must both be blind. I use 1 sample vial for a 2 oz body spritz and it gives me a really nice scent strength without becoming 'cologne guy'. The person you were reading about might have done it with the 8 oz. Good choice on the Virgin Island Water. Smells fantastic from TFS. Another scent of theirs that is about as close as they can get with an oil carrier as opposed to alcohol.

Just a head's up to smell junkies. Today I was asking several questions to the online support staff. I was informed that it is likely (probably happening) that TFS is starting a sale on Monday Aug 15. It appears it will be 30% off everything, including bundles if you are into that.

I dug a little deeper and even asked if the 'try it before you buy it' bundle would count too.and they said yes. So it's normally $30 for 5 samples, it will be $21. I asked if the amount could be used toward future purchase like the normal $30 is. They said whatever you cost of the sampler pack is, you'll receive a code to redeem in the future for that amount. So, if you get the 'try it' sampler for $21, you'll get a code for the future for $21.

My only question to myself is do I want to go ahead and order the 2 sampler(s) now for $30 each, and have $60 to use on product discounted 30% during the sale. Or order my 2 sampler(s) at the discounted rate of $21, but only have $42 to apply to the sale items.

Either way...it's a winning situation as I was going to order anyway!

Oh, nice!!! Gonna keep my eye out for that. Sauvage (1024) here I come! Might be springing for a few other goodies as well.

The samplers are already a steal at the price, and free when you consider the gift certificate. I have a few more samples I wanted to order, so I think I will be placing an order shortly.

Thanks a lot for the heads up, HappyGoSkillfully.

Yeah sure, just keep in mind that you cannot use the future discount on any bundles or samples. They instructed me on that.

Yep. I just meant that spending $30 on a sampler, and then being able to use the $30 GC on a purchase of a non-sample size product is like getting the sampler for free. I'm already considering Aventus type and GIT oils because I like them so much. I was pleasantly surprised with these oils, after years of disliking retail fragrances and unwilling to spend large amounts on the higher end fragrances.
