Thanks Data4, I ended up getting: Millesime Imperial, Armani Code, 1 Million, Himalaya, and Sexual.

In terms of how you apply these, do you just pop the top and press the vial against the skin while turning it upside down? In the Montale thread BigJoe said, "Thanks for making me aware of these Montale Parfumes. They're also strong. An 8 ml decant will probably last you half a year!" What does he mean by that? Is he talking about diluting it with water or something?

As far as the long range aspect of it goes, as3 was talking about the benefits of having a long range cover scent. It sounds good to me, so I thought I'd go for that! Is it true that the pheromones will ride on the cover scent?

I use the dipstick sort of like a paint brush and apply it to the standard "hot spots", like inner elbows, wrists, back of ears. Be careful with the Sexual, though. You very literally just have to wet the dipstick and BARELY touch it your skin. It's the strongest thing I've ever used. Most of TFS's stuff is potent, so it's going to be a trial and error thing for you. Just like with conventional alcohol-based fragrances, and for that matter, pheromones, how they react to your specific skin chemistry is going to be something only you can figure out by testing.

Play it safe and just start with a tiny bit at first. Get opinions from housemates or other people you can ask without feeling weird about it before getting in situations where smelling like a French whore won't do you any good.

One more tip for you, od1, regarding Sexual. When I first got it, I didn't like it too much. The opening is a bit... well, bold. Almost like a powerhouse fragrance from the 80's or early 90's. After a little while, it settles into it's drydown which, imo, is phenomenal. Most of the reviews I've read say Sexual has one of the best drydowns of any cologne, and I can easily see why. I'll catch wafts of it throughout the day and I'm like "damn!" I've... uh... been wearing it quite a bit lately. Wink

Just wanted to give you a heads up if your first sniff of the stuff seems a kind of lackluster.

Do the ladies love the scent as much as you do?

Tom Ford Oud Wood has an amazing range and is a great cover IMHO, plus it smells mmm so good!! ...I love it on myself, but I love it even more on a man. I call it a "panty dropper" fragrance. lol Blush

Tuscan Leather is another great one, smells like leather and smoke..like a man rode his horse then went into a pub to smoke a fine cigar...and eventho it has a long range, it also has a close to the skin feel about it.

There is something about the alcohol (or ingredients) that Thierry Mugler uses in his fragrances that makes them long range and last a long time, really long time. Chanel is the same way.

One of the best covers that I have found for Copulins is Ambre Narguile by Hermes. Copulins are completely undetectable when I have this baby on, it's strong with amazing silage, one or two sprays is all I need. I believe it's unisex altho it's sweet, the best way I can describe the scent is like elegant wearable Cinnabons with musky pipe tobacoo. I would put it in the same family as Tobacoo Vanille by Tom Ford. It's pretty expensive tho so I only use it once in a while.

“I offer you peace. I offer you love. I offer you friendship. I see your beauty. I hear your need. I feel your feelings. Let us work together for unity and love.” ~Gandhi

Hi Lexy, thanks for your suggestions! I'm going to try Surrati's clones of Oud Wood and Tuscan Leather. Samples are available through

It's $12 to ship the samples and they say they send you at least 4. If anybody knows of anything else on that site that you think I should try, let me know.

I'll probably add Montale's Black Aoud to the list since I read that people like it and I didn't get it from Lucky Scent.

As far as the Ambre Narguile goes, it looks like nobody's cloned it. I'll call the Hermes store and see if I can get a sample!
