Thanks Snoopy, thinking about their "Custom Designer Four-Pack" for $73 4x1/8th ounce (~4x4ml?).
Aventus for sure, also: Royal Oud, Millesime Imperial, Silver Mountain Water, Himalaya.. 5 bottles.. one must to be only a sample or a full bottle.. so much to decide.. Mrgreen

All excellent choices. To my nose they smell exactly or almost exactly like the originals.

I am trying to work out a custom designer 4 pack for the sale.

I know I'll get Aventus and Green Irish Tweed. Beyond that I am pondering:

Mugler Cologne
Bond No. 9 Chez Bond
Bond No. 9 Riverside Drive
Viktor and Rolf Spicebomb
Les Labo Santal 33

Intense.

Of those, my favorites would be Riverside Drive and Santal 33 but I've tried them all and they smell great.

I like buying the sample vials to try things (relatively cheaply) because when you buy 5 sample vials, you get a coupon for $30 off the cost of a big bottle in oil.

I continue to be impressed by TFS Aventus type. I bought it in May and the longevity was lacking. After a few hours I couldn't smell it but now I am finding it lasts all day and the depth of the scent is fantastic.

I'd gotten a sample vial of Vetiver with my order of Dirty English body spritz. I'm not sure if it is supposed to replicate the Vetiver scent that originally came out in 1948 or ORIGINAL Vetiver from 2004. What I am sure of is that this is a really, really nice Summer scent. I've never smelled the 1948 Vetiver but I own Original Vetiver and based on that, I can say that TFS's version is slightly more spicy, slightly less soapy but does smell fantastic on the skin. At first it is very green as in, 'I just mowed the lawn' type of green but it backs off a bit and becomes more spicy green with a little woodsiness in the background. I don't really get much ambergris in this so it makes me wonder if this reproduction is based on the 1948 version. The 3 bottles of OV that I've owned over the years have all had a fairly strong ambergris note to them (which I happen to like).

Just thought I'd pass this along for any Vetiver fans. If my bride was into the clean green scents more I would be buying a bottle of this. It is really well done, in my opinion.

On the Vetiver note. I have a sample vial of the Tom Ford Grey Vetiver 'TYPE' and it is very nice. A very confident smell.

I love their reproduction of Grey Vetiver. I've gone through almost a full 1/4 oz bottle of it. Very confident and very smooth.

Score one for The Fragrance Shop. I was wearing their oil reproduction of Aventus when my bride and me ran into one of her bosses. He immediately recognized the scent and thought I was wearing the original Creed version, which he owns and wears often. He was more than a little surprised to find out it was an oil based knock of that I was wearing. It was funny. He didn't believe me so my bride is bringing the TFS bottle so he can see/sniff for himself.

Hey Snoopyace, i have TFS Aventus also, and to date it is the most perfect scent.
i smelled Aventus spray at the perfume shop and i was amazed. then i bought from ebay aventus 500ml split, and it was very very bad.. ladies at the work said it smells very bad. she said it is not my cologne. watered maybe? i do not know, but it was like a day and night from the original.

and then i got Fragraceshop's Aventus, i was amazed, ladies like it.

but i wanted to ask about the dosage:
i dab at my neck and wrists a few times. i do not know it is much or no, but i can smell mostly only myself.
maybe i should use a bulb dropper and apply 1-2-3 drops?

also Erolfa and Royal Oud are very nice scents. but Millesime Imperial and Virgin Island Water ladies said does not smell "like me". maybe it depends on my skin i do not know.. for myself it is ok, but others say it is nothing to rave about..

AND

Silver Mountain Water was the biggest favorite scent.. when i smelled it at the perfume shop and used it on me a couple times.. i ordered a bigger bottle from TFS. but sadly Oil did not work.. ladies say it is not me again.. Sad

it is very hard with fragrances.. but when you find a good one you know it Smile
