Supplements: Epimedium
11-16-2012 5:12 PM

One of my favorite supplements in the world is Epimedium, also known as the Horny Goat Weed. I have read another thread on this forum that had mentioned Epimedium.

What stands out with this supplement which increases nitric oxide is that I noticeably would receive many blatant hits while on this in combination with l-arginine (an amino acid that also has sexual benefits).

Just as with pheromones, events were different in a notable way.

Build up to and each release are much more extreme sexually speaking.

Some weird things or "hits" that have happened on epimedium:

1. I had a highly attractive girl hand in my paper at random in my chemistry seminar with a big smile

2. In a cooking class I was in a group with four females, three of which kino'ed me massively.

Two kept boobing me. (the entire semester while I took this supplement...)

The third would act real shy around me but always would attempt to flirt. She was "stuffed" out often by the other 2 more alpha ladies.
(Perhaps she was the beta female? Does that even exist? These are real questions?)

3. During an important group presentation I felt so entirely confident throughout the entire ordeal and ended up scoring as one of the best in the entire class. Another highly attractive girl commented on my group's performance feeling that it was so good that it would be tough to top.

4. Two hot females that I shared class with would actively compete against each other for my attention only when I was on epimedium.

Is nitric oxide really this awesome for men?

I know what supplement is my favorite.

Any other opinions & experiences on Epimedium?

Thank you for reading.

Hell yeah

Epimedium

I started using this a bunch the year or two before I started wearing pheromones. Love it. I get crazy hits with it just like I do with the mones. I think it really does more for me than mones do.

I could list tons of hits or positive effects, but I've got to get going. Awesome stuff though. Great thread. I'll check back when not busy. I could go on for days.

Horny Goat Weed Extract can contain 5%-60% Icariin (CAS# 489-32-7) based on how it is made, and other variables.
Quote:Just referencing wikipedia, who references a bunch of other sources.

It is thought that icariin is likely to be the primary active component of Epimedium extracts, as it has been shown to share several mechanisms of action with compounds used in Western medicine to treat impotence and improve sexual function. In particular, icariin has been demonstrated to act as a PDE5 inhibitor and to enhance the production of bioactive nitric oxide, as well as mimicking the effects of testosterone. It also shows antioxidant, antidepressant and neuroprotective effects in animal studies, as well as stimulating osteoblast activity in bone tissue which has been linked to a possible therapeutic role in the treatment of osteoporosis
This shows how diverse and bioactive just 1 of the 35 flavanoids found in the plant can be.

Epimedium is solid but you need.to make sure it is extracted for Icariin. Higher the extract the better. In most of the Is you will find 10%-20% extracts. There is one or two companies that do a reliable 50%-60% which is what you really want. A little more pricey, but if you can afford $50 a month this adds to a great sexual stack.

I know Synthetic Suppliments is trying to source a high extract but have found batches to be inconsistent and to pricey to be convenient.

If you can stack it with some mucuna pruriens. Usially extracted for L-dopa.

Lower extracts(20% or so) are better for boosting testosterone levels.
Higher extracts(70-90%+) are better at lowering prolactin.

I agree with Dafixisin.

An experience or two would be awesome, AlternativeGirl.

Another interesting aspect to note about my personal experience with Epimedium is that when taking it while performing on stage at a variety of venues, it seemed much easier to connect with the feminine elements of the audience after consuming it and digesting the active components of what is the supplement Epimedium.

I've had attractive women open me up multiple times while on this by way of buying me a free drink during a gig out on many a performance.

Are there any other supplements out there that function quite similar to the way of Epimedium?

All the replies so far have been helpful & cool.

Thanks.

I don't understand why you guys believe that a supplement you ingest is having some kind of influence on those outside of you. Doesn't make semce, and there is no way you could convince me otherwise.

It is nice that pheromones can do this, bit I think you guys are reading way to far into it. Not everything everyone does is because some outside variable effected them to.

Icariin doesn't even have much of an impact on testosterone, so that window is out.

That's true.

It can easily be a coincidence.

Especially if impact on testosterone is the actual main factor that determines if something can have an actual outside effect.

Great addition to the discussion.

Nice reply Grape Ape.

Why do you say this? There's a lot more research on viagra than on iicarin and they're both PPE-5 inhibitors. While the main mechanism of action for viagra involves NO metabolism, here's an article showing viagra's indirect impact on testosterone levels.

Quote:Sildenafil treatment in vivo stimulates Leydig cell steroidogenesis via the cAMP/cGMP signaling pathway.

Male adult rats were treated with Viagra (1.25 mg/kg body wt) daily for 30 days. In our studies, serum testosterone and ex vivo testosterone production significantly increased in sildenafil-treated animals. Human chorionic gonadotropin-stimulated testosterone production and cAMP accumulation were also significantly higher in Leydig cells obtained from sildenafil-treated rats.

Besides, the female sexual response (blushing, sex flush, copulin production) is well accepted as attractive. A lot of makeup use simulates the female sexual response. It'd be interesting to see a study which controlled for those visual indicators by testing to what extent the application of base and blush simulated the benefits of iicarin.

I'm a bit wary of altering my metabolism chemically if I can avoid it. But if AG says taking this stuff changed how people reacted to her, that seems entirely reasonable. Of course, personally it can be hard for me to differentiate between things that change my perception of others and things that change how others react towards me. The only way I can think of to control for that issue off the top of my head would be to watch a movie or TV show and take notes while using and then not using a pheromone to see how use impacted my perception of social interaction that I was not involved with.

(Also, the PPE5 inhibitors seem to reduce symptoms of diabetes at least temporarily. And diabetes symptoms, that is metabolic dysfuction, tend to be the opposite of sexual attractiveness.)

NuTrix- I wouldn’t change a thing in my past because it’s made me who I am, and I LIKE me, but I’ll be damned if I let 1 single thing in my past hold me prisoner there
