Saw it for free on Hulu the same day I watched this trailer. It was awesome. I used to juice fast once a month and be immersed in the raw food culture. I'm really happy to see stuff like this becoming widely available to the general population. It really does change how you think and feel when your body/ mind is receiving optimal nutrition like that. I used to be horribly depressed and suicidal before I found out that avocados and flax seed meal can help elevate/ regulate mood by helping the brain function properly. And, Phil was pretty bad off before he started juicing, too. Thankx for posting this. Someone else told me I would like it, but I had totally forgot about it. It made my evening.

OOOH thanks for posting that it's on Hulu. I want to watch this. I am looking for a good deal on a juicer right now.

The problem I have with juicing is that I like it so much I would drink a few gallons a day of it lol.
By actually eating apples, carrots etc i get that full feeling in the belly which makes me less hungry.

Come over and I'll make you juice! Big Grin

No, but really, I do think this stuff would help your occasional migraine headaches that you get. There's a chick in this documentary with horrible migraines, and she saw excellent results with juicing.

The results of juice fasting are so incredible that you would have to experience them for yourself to believe them.

There are a lot of books out there on the topic. If you are thinking of trying to incorporate some of this stuff into your daily life, you can probably check some out at the library for advice and support.

But, yeah it is REALLY amazing stuff!!

Right? I do smoothies way more often now a days. I throw in tons of fruit and veggies like romaine and celery and flax seed meal. Very satisfying. Apples and carrots are an awesome staple for enzymes, nutrition, fiber and protien.

Hey Halo!

I have a Champion Juicer which is one of the better ones but I've basically mothballed it because it takes so long to clean. I use a potato ricer and a strainer instead, which are cheaper and work better. I blend the veggies with water, pour them in the ricer, stirr the liquid till it's drained to mush, press them in the ricer to remove the rest of the liquid, and then strain the remaining juice to remove the smaller particles.

It's much quicker to clean and it works better than a juicer for the more fiberous vegetables. Stuff like cucumbers are too mushy to juice effectively this way, but Kale is a dream. You wind up with a juice which is a bit more dilute, but that's never been an issue for me. Depending on how well you digest some stuff, Vgest may be able to help you process everything

I do green veggie juicing only. Fruit juicing isn't nessicarily a good thing since fruit juice is mostly sugar water. The sugar spike is hard on your body if you haven't just had a strenuous workout. The same warning holds for root veggies like beets and carrots whose juice is high in sugar.

Best of luck!

Ryan

Thanks for the info. I bought a Breville awhile ago and am using it everyday. The clean up is not bad at all.
