Thanks Shelly - I literally just made a huge order from thefragranceshop as they have a sale on and then saw your post. Is the Egyptian Musk you speak of the "24k Egyptian Musk"?. I ordered some thinking it was a male scent, haha. Hopefully I can get away with it!

Egyptian Musk is a clean skin musk - I think either a man or a woman could get away with it - I just huffed mine - it's pretty unisex. Like a the best sexiest smelling skin you ever got from luxury hotel soap...skin, a tint of clean and the desire to go dirty it all up. The 24 Eqyptian Musk I understand has Vanilla in it as an undertone and is warmer...I don't have that...

Generally with men - the musks that play a bit stronger/more masculine will include one or more of the following:
~ woods
~ dark ambers
~ says specifically animalics (think dirty smelling/civit or ambergris can be in here - on some people it wears clean - on others smells poopy - dang skin chemistry stuff all over again)
~ spices
~ Ouds
~ Sandalwood

So for instance if you saw a musk that said Musk with sandalwood and spice - you would be in business. That would be very masculine. If it said musk, amber and sandalwood, with vanilla - don't get scared about the vanilla. Women love vanilla. You just need something deep and manly underneath to carry it so you don't smell like a cookie...

LOL - you never know - maybe you'll get eaten like one...works for a lot of women...look at the top sellers over at Love Potion....

Personally - I never got the whole Maple Syrup or Pumpkin thing...but I was reading Dr. Amen's book and Pumpkin and Cinammon are among the scents that test out as the biggest aphrodisiacs - weird.

Maybe you guys need to be looking for Musk and Cinammon...

I've read so many different scents were supposed aphrodisiacs over the years. Baby powder, vanilla,watermelon. I think they're making it up half the time. I can't imagine baby powder invoking anything other than diapers

Cinnamon is one the best scents I've ever smelled in my lifetime. Walking past a Cinnabon at the mall is just torturous!

Agree with Dafixin...the smell of a fresh hot Cinabon? Mmmmmm...why Mara hit big with her Buns of Cin a couple years back - men went wild for that on their women in the winter...also why Love Potion Red is a perennial top seller - add that Cinamon scent in the winter and you have a license to print money....

That makes sense. Become a head-turner with "Who's that guy? He turns me on". Then when she talks to you over time she finds that you're not just a hot stud, but a big shot and a romantic lover, which intensifies her sexual attraction. Good food for thought on how to use oils and sprays together.
