Just a suggestion.
In order to condense and concentrate our power here on pherotruth, does anyone object to a plea to reduce the amount of requoting on posts?
Maybe we can utilize the quote function a bit more efficiently instead of just puking up what someone else said then adding a few tidbits to it. Then someone else reposts that and next thing you know it looks sloppy.
Lets step it up at bit and pay a bit more individual attention to what you repost and how much it pertains to what you have to say. You guys have alot of good stuff to say but stop being repetitious.
Sometimes long threads (especially on mobile) remind me of watching an episode of something where they feel the need to replay the same scenes again before the commercial break. Then they give you the new material.
If the show had just given the new material right after the break instead of replays, more new material will be seeded to appear. Hollywood trick the old material is used as filler at the beginning of an episode to stretch out the new material. It is in essence dilution of new material.
I think we can all agree that we are intelligent enough to follow conversations in threads without feeling the burning need to quote. And quote. and quote Wtf guys. Poorly used quotes are like plaque. It really does clog up the arteries.

So do this. It sums up what you're replying to, as a sort of connector, but without the bloat.
Is that the gist?

Yes.
Exactly the gist. See how cluttered this post is Just to agree with you.
Granted this is a small example but when multiple quotes are used it can get messy to find out what the actual person has to say in between all the requoting

Above is an example of how some threads are forming now. Im sure everyone has seen them in one form or another. Chop up the quote like RT did above, or just dont quote. Reposting an entire previous conversation lacks etiquette. We are refined people here. Lol
It is the fault of no one but we should all pay attention to how this makes our forum run. If we keep repeating each other just to add a small portion to the convo, an entire repost of the original thread topic is not needed. Where it gets real bad is when guys start quoting quotes of quotes. Then its just too confusing to read by then. Mostly on cell phones. PC isnt too bad and wasnt really worth a mention but the phone can get a bit time scrolly.
We should not need quotes as arrows and swimmies to know what a thread is talking about. Lol

I have seen posts where 6, 7 or more full paragraphs were quoted, only to reply with a "yes" or "I agree' or some other 2 or 3 word reply and I find it rather irritating as well.
Nobody changes until the pain of staying the same becomes greater than the pain of change....

+1. And paragraphs, although this doesn't happen as often. Please make posts readable. Don't just give us a wall of text.

All you have to do is simply say who you are addressing.
Ex. Thundr, to answer your question, blah blah.
