A very valid theory and something I can relate to. I noticed very similar effects when I started working out a few years back. I was at a serious risk of never knowing what it is like to have random women stare at you with lust, and the smiles , playing with hair, playing with earlobes/earrings, preening, jutting out breasts. I initially thought it was because of the progress I was making in my workouts but then noticed that most of these hits were only around the time I was pushing myself at the gym, I mean face going red because of the effort, even if was lifting just 20lbs lol . And yes, my workouts included dead lifts too.

I never escalated because (a) wasn't looking to, and (b) these were so random I simply didn't know what was happening. On some occasions I had to look around to see if it was because of me or someone else near me. Most of these hits were from ethnic women. I am south asian.

I had probably figured out it was due to my body pumping testosterone/natural pheromones, but there was no way of measuring. Much of that has gone away because I don't push myself that way any longer. I would have never believed in the effectiveness of mones without these experiences.
