I've been alternating between ascendxs and a314 for the last few weeks and I think they are quite different from each other. I only tried A314 rev. 31 and I notice sometimes it makes my heart beat faster and I feel a bit hyperaware, and I wonder if there's a pheromone in a314 that is like an "alarm" pheromone, more of a "danger" alert than a "high status person" alert, that makes people think they have to believe what you say or do what you tell them to do. The scent in rev. 31 is sharp to the nose, reminds me of ozone or blood (metallic), and I think that plays a part in the a314 all-business vibe. Ascendxs on the other hand is relaxed, creeps up on people subtly, a better stand-alone product, but does not have as much of a focusing or self-confidence effect on me or demand as much trust and respect from others.

It's not one single molecule, its the blend of all of them that creates the high status, but I'm pretty sure that p91 has a lot to do with the sophistication that A314 emits.

I'd go with mostly Androsterone and Est, and a small bit of Androstenone. Some kind of buffer and maybe some essential oil added in for pheromonal effect. I've heard clary sage suggested. I don't like using more than tiny tiny doses of clary sage, though.

Waaaay too much work, A314 is a complex mix containing lots of different molecules (18 apparently) it would take an age to reverse engineer it, and then you would still have to use AD putative's.

I agree with the first part. Some mixes are complex, and the scents used likely also have an effect.

But if you knew what was in the mix you would probably not have to use AD's putatives. Some molecules are publicly available. And some scents and similar are available as extracts.
