Hello mates! I work for the US Government. In specific I handle packages. ;)

I am high up enough to know who to contact in customs for issues, I know the process for a package as well as what occurs in customs.

So, the point of the thread -

I am getting a large volume of PM's about order issues. One or two a week is fine as I can spare 30 minutes a week to look up the parcel, make the phone calls to inquire where it is as needed as well as call USPS facilities to get an employee to go through non-processed/delayed mail. It is quite the time consuming issue. This also puts my job at risk.

To stream line this process I want to keep this all in one place, and for people to post their issues here. This is for Domestic and International issues as well as Fed Ex/UPS items which the USPS handles. I can tell the difference as to if or if not the USPS handles the item.

What I need from you:

Quote:

1. Your Home Country.
2. Your State/Provonce.
3. Any and all Tracking / Label / Custom Numbers.
4. Date Order Placed and Vendor.
5. 72 Hours to Inquire.
   

What I can find out and will let you know:

Quote:

• When it was Shipped.
• Expected Delivery if possible.
• Where the package is.
• If it is in customs and why.
• How much longer it should take to deliver.
  

I am willing to do this service free of charge. It is very time consuming. Please keep this in mind. I will get to all I can in a timely manor. What I cannot do is force the USPS or the US Dept of State or the Customs Department to expedite a parcel for you nor can I get it through the system. You still must wait it out.

Your entire region is in backlog and shipping liquids to you takes a very long time. My initial search shows they are in your Countries custom agency. Shipping anything to you, especially Liquids, Perfumes, Battery's, and such items is a huge issue.

I will try to call around tomorrow, but due to the language barrier I may not have luck. Customs normally has an English speaking employee to help me, but it may take time to get a chance to speak with them.

Thanks but I have a question. I have a order from AD shipping from CA to MD. They got the electronic notification on the 3rd. Processed at 730ish pm in West Sacramento on the 4th. I ordered Monday with priority and was hoping it will come by Friday which is a very low possibility now. My question is... Do they still move mail at night? Is it coming to my coast by truck or plane. I read that some priority mail is shipped with overnight to meet the deadline by the post mark. If USPS was notified on the 3rd even though they processed it on the 4th will it arrive today or tomorrow??? Or do I had to wait till Monday and miss out on several opportunities this weekend...

Sigh ... These are the woes of an apprehensive first time L2K / AM buyer. Thanks to you an and several other helpful people here... This is a true community

Ok, in order of how you sent them:

1 and 2 were flagged in customs in the US and released but not cleared to fly yet. They have special handling attached. They will take longer due to being liquid/explosive.

3 and 4 both hit customs and were flagged, then sent to NY for processing and additional customs review.

5 shows no movement outside of LA, where it was hand scanned as processing, which often means it was suspicious and/or leaking.

It does move 24/7. AD sends notifications before they ship and a lot depends on how they sent. They print up a label which starts tracking with USPS, they can drop off any time after.
