The secret of Bodyweight Calisthenics

I want to share a secret with all you guys who want a quick no nonsense workout plan that works simulatenously on strength, endurance, and flexibility with each exercise. Its called BWE. Or bodyweight exercises.

For YEARS since age 19 I got into bodybuilding.. I didn't realize that by pushing myself to get bigger and stronger I also got a lot of injuries some of which act up now into my mid 40's.

BWE is the only form of exercises that doesn't tighten me up, put kinks in my neck and joints, and doesn't cause sharp increases in BP like weight training does.

Even better you don't need a gym.

Since I switched to BWE over the past 2 months compared to weight training I see the practical functional fitness type of body it develops.

VERY good for daily life, sport, and health.

There are many BWE resources.

I get training program from a PRO Brazilian Jujitsu black belt, whose also running his own gym and working as a personal trainer. He was one of the first black belts under the Gracie Banner. Anyways his exercises changed my life.

I truly suggest those who are stuck in the weight training cardio craze to look into BWE.. It is transforming my physique and functional strength, endurance and flexibility in one month faster than a year of weight training.. Secondly, when I do TEST myself on the weights a month later I am much stronger in all my lifts even though I took a break from the gym! However , if I do years of BB and weight training and then do BWE I am gassed in 5 min.. So the inverse is not true.

BWE ARE GOLDEN. DO SOME RESEARCH ON THIS EXCELLENT AVENUE OF PHYSICAL TRANSFORMATION. IF you want to improve and in a hurry! Smile

Yeah. He means movements using no equipment at all (or minimal equipment). Ex. Pushups, planks, bodyweight squats, pullups, inverted rows, etc.

Home, hotel, backyard etc.

Yes pushups, pullups, squats, penetration lunges, no momentum situps, divebomber pushups, burpees, bicycle crunches etc.

You don't need a whole lot of variety.. 10 exercises will do. I do 15-30 reps of each in one workout with little to NO rest in between exercises.. My conditioning , FUNCTIONAL strength, and flexibility have improved faster in 1 week than 3 months of weight training.

For example I take BJJ/MMA. With weights I used to be strong but it didn't transfer to the mat. With BWE I am pushing opponents around on the ground and standup as if they were ragdolls, AND I am moving my body like a gymnast not some stiff bodybuilder.

My mood is 100% better. BB always made me irritable and grouchy. We are know those dumbbell heads with tempers.. don't we? But BWE makes me inhale so much pure oxygen I am in high spirits , full of energy and happiness. It also doesn't cause huge spikes in BP like heavy weight training.

I am finally injury free. My neck is a bundle of pain free nerves. My spine is more flexible. And my posture is 100% better.. I even feel taller.

Good luck to you. There are many good resources. I am heavily into bjj/mma so my inspirations from BWE come from competitive athletes / personal trainers / blackbelts in the field.

That'ts the best form of exercice.For reasons I can explain you get much quicker where you want, aisthitically your body is better than a gym's body where you focus on each muscle individually with a random balance between them and also you get real strength not just enlarged muscle cells that can reproduce synthetic single muscle exercises.In 2 months I could do 1 hand pushups and I know guys going 1 year to the gym that can't perform even 1.The secret is to always increase the level to always get muscle failure from this, then you grow.Plain push ups are nothing unless you are completely untrained, so you start from there.
I suggest Mark Lauren - You are your own gym.Excellent book, 100+ exercises in 5 programs based on your level.4 days a week exercising, 30-40 minutes each.

I may exaggerate a little but to me, if you keep increasing the level so you always come to your limits with calisthenics, compared to that gym is for kids.

They've done studies you know...60% of the time, it works every time

Of course, as soon as you "damage" your muscles by going up to muscle failure (which gives your body the signal that your current muscles aren't enough for the exercise) and get enough protein 1.5-2gr x your kg, no need for more.

They've done studies you know...60% of the time, it works every time

Gaining or losing weight depends largely on your diet but I have also found my chest getting even bigger than when I was lifting weights.

These exercises generally will strengthen , burn fat and also have muscles popping out of no where. But you'll never get as big as a pro bodybuilder whose entire goal is mass and just looks.

But ask yourself with guys with that big arms and back and chest , can they even wipe their ass on the pot anymore?

Bwe = functional body and fitness!

Now stop thinking and start doing !!!
