Hey metaltree.
Typically all mbti types can struggle to develop their third function. You can really see the divide within types between the well developed 3rd function and the poorly developed.

For Ni dom types (intj/infj) the 2nd and 3ed functions act as verifiers for the idea generating Ni. Poorly developed types often have very weird ideas that they hold a great deal of belief in - you see stubborness, inability to explain why they believe in the idea, and unreasonable confidence to cover up their internal confusion. In infjs in particular this can present itself as beliefs in mystical, supernatural, or even having psychic powers. When infjs develop their Ti their able to avoid this (see Sam Harris as an example of a well developed INFJ). So watch out on that trusting intuition bit, INFJ gain their real strength when they verify their intuitions with Fe and TI.

I mostly wear pheromones at bars and clubs. INFJs are typically uncomfortable at bars/clubs and I am naturally uncomfortable in those environments. But I put a lot of effort into overcoming that.
