Jeez, I had forgotten all about "The Coming Ice Age"

This story prompted childhood memories that had been completely forgotten about, and will probably do the same for some of you too!

For those that are old enough to remember, go back to the mid 70's and you may recall the ramblings about us heading toward a new ice age.

What happened? In only 35 years not only did the earth manage to avert an ice age, but somehow managed to reverse the cooling trend and become hotter than ever?

Yeah OK!

The Forbes Article: focuses only on on climate change, while the thread at delves into bio-fuels and starvation, profiting from food shortages, and CFC's and the hole in the Ozone layer.

Both worthy reads!

LOL. Yeah - I remember that too. Mankind was causing a new ice age and the climate data proved it. Now the climate data proves just the opposite. Every time my kids come home with something like that from school I remind them of all this.

The EPA has now declared Carbon Dioxide an air pollutant. This means you are no longer allowed to run or exercize because this ramps up your output of this air pollutant substance. Never mind that trees need this to survive and produce Oxygen.

But seriously, because the EPA has regulatory power they can now stick their regulatory fingers in every aspect of your life and if they chose to shut down gyms, they could do it. Worried about "Cap and Trade?" How about "Cap" (no trade)?

Environmentalism is the new socialism. It doesn't have to be based on facts, and it isn't. And it isn't about "saving the planet." It is about total control.

I'd say more like communism, or even facisim! And the Copenhagen Conference may well bring us one step closer to a NWO and "One World Government". First the League of Nations, followed by the Federal Reserve Act, then the United Nations, the death of the Bretton Woods System, the World Health Organization, etc. Our founders would be turning over in their graves if they knew how the U.S. and the entire world were being pillaged and plundered.

Copenhagen is a bust and the best they can hope for is a loose political agreement. There will be no binding agreements this year.
