I'm sure they're legit, they got good reviews even on basenotes, but again, Creed doesn't sell in bulk, they don't discount to anyone other than their authorized retailers, which they hardly have any of. So anyone who's managed to get their hands on anything by Creed and selling it for $116 instead of the astronomical price of almost $400 for a 4 ounce bottle, it's either a fake, or old stock, or stolen. If it's stolen, I don't agree with the ethics but at least it's legit. If it's old stock, Creed colognes, if properly stored (out of direct sunlight, not in hot conditions) usually has a 5 year shelf live, longer if in cooler conditions, less if stored in hot/sunny conditions (not as much of an issue with GIT since the bottle is painted). So if it's old stock, you get what you pay for, which means you won't get as much shelf life out of the product. All I'm saying is if you want Creed, either pay the price for the legit stuff that's fresh, or take a gamble on old stock/fakes. He may have a legit bottle but I highly doubt it's fresh/recent, unless stolen before Lily Direct got it. The only way he can be sure for certain is to take it to a Creed boutique if there's one nearby or a department store that sells Creed. He can go to the Creed site and find places that are officially registered to sell Creed products.

It's a tester. They usually can go that cheap. It's even that pretty cheap on target's website. They sell it too for the low. Those prices aren't uncommon. I never pay retail....

Also you can check the batch number with cosmetic calculator. Google it. Creed isn't as exclusively priced as they give off

I checked, Target is not an authorized retailer for Creed, so they're getting this from third party vendors, which again means that you're dealing with either old stock that hasn't moved in a while or gray market products from overseas. The last bottle of GIT I had, which I bought from fragrancenet.com has Arabic writing on it. Research pointed out it was a legit bottle but an old batch. Simply put: If you want to be absolutely certain you have a legit bottle that's fresh and not sitting around for a while: Buy from Creed directly. Otherwise, you're rolling the dice. If the OP likes the smell, then that's all that matters, as long as whomever made the fragrance didn't use any components that aren't safe for human usage (that's happened as well).
