I thought Aventus was awesome.

Last night I went into Holt Renfrew and sprayed on a sample of GIT and man first it felt STRONG. Much stronger than Aventus.. But after it lingered on my skin 5 min later it smelled almost like a grass field.. I would describe it as a NATURE type of smell..

What type of image are they aiming for?
Maybe doing your main squeeze out in a grassy field.

As Sting would sing "And we walked in fields of Gold"

GIT is on my next buy list!!

Haha, I'm right there with you. I think GIT is the best I've ever smelt for me. I really like Aventus, I would sell out a friend for a bottle of GIT.

I find it a great winter time mix. It smells green, fresh, and alpine to me. It seems to really fit in to a city like Denver but I wear Aventus a bit more in the summer time.

Have you tried original vetiver? Women don't seem to like git as much as aventus. IMHO aventus is leader and git is outdoor/natural man and vetiver is man of leisure.

And creed like original a314 sets the highmark that many try to copy and none get right.

100%. Every woman I asked like Aventus a lot more than GIT. I just don't care. GIT is one of the few scents, like ambergris and oud, that I can just smell on myself all day. It makes me feel good...

Also find that women smell vetiver differently. It smells just nice to me and every woman just loves the scent of vetiver when I ask. Maybe I'll try Aventus and vetiver just for women.

They are just so darned expensive... you are forced to choose. OV helps me concentrate/focus - like Pheromones they each their uses. For instance d&g the one is an awesome cover for sexual mones for me. Aventus good for meetings. Its your scent - popular opinion be damned! :-)

Club de nuite intese smells exactly like Aventus. Base notes got bunch of creed splits for a reasonable price.

GIT has achieved one rousing compliment from a random but that's really it. Men seem to compliment me more, which generally speaking is not the desire response, lol. Latinas and white chicks seem to love Aventus. I like GIT a whole lot. It's just so manly and fresh.

Another vote for Green Irish Tweed smelling fantastic but definitely not getting as many compliments from women as Aventus or Original Vetiver. I used to LOVE OV! My bride isn't a fan of soapy scents or I'd probably have gotten a duplication from The Fragrance Shop by now.

GIT is the first niche cologne I bought 2 years ago, and I don't like it one bit, don't know if it is fake or not but it lasts a long time which means it is legit, Aventus is much better but not a lot of girl like it, my top 5 are spicebomb,DHI, la nuit del'homme batch code older than 2013, pure malt, aventus. if you can get a vintage la nuit de l'homme then you are all set, the best cologne money can buy.

Lots of counterfeits. I wasted serious $ buying fake OV on ebay. Don't buy anything other than decants IMHO and even those can be fake on ebay.

Yeah, I've noticed OV isn't really a passionate scent. I never get OMGs with it. Of the Creeds, Aventus would be my choice for that. But I think there are many other sensuals out there... Tom Ford is fun and polarizing in this area.. really too many to mention and I'm a fan of that cotton candy Mark's Girl Nip. Women love that scent but I don't really jive it... playful for me.
