It really is a sea-change when you have the mones on isn't it? They can have very powerful self-effects too so there is a component like being stoned in public - you did something on purpose to change the way you see and interact with the world but you can't tell anyone, and with the added bonus of being able to have an effect on others as well, like being stoned and being able to give off a contact high without the targets being aware of what is happening!
