Doctor dogs sniff out breast cancer (WTOL 11 Toledo)

Does breast cancer smell? And if it does, who can smell it? The answer to those questions apparently barks, loves to be scratched and has a great sense of smell.

I actually saw a documentary once on a standard poodle who had been trained to sniff out tumors/irregularities in patients. In that dog's case, it would be patients with which the dog was not familiar.

Pretty amazing.

Wonder how our wearing pheromones in such concentrations affects our dogs...
