I bought a sample of Molecule 1 from these guys and was satisfied. I'm gonna try this ... Sounds like this and GIT are on the list for sure.


They say Adventus is a strong Ambergris scent. I have yet to try the scent but I have this empty vile of real ambergris that I save just so I can open it one or twice a day and smell it. Its enchanting... not sure how else to put it. I had a similar experience to samus the first time I gave it a sniff although not as euphoric. I'm enchanted by the smell of ambergris and will be buying more soon.

I somehow never heard of Aventus but after reading this thread ordered 2 sample vials of it. The reviews are insane and if I hadn't have had such an out of body experience with GIT I would dismiss them immediately.

But, GIT is fucking amazing and if Aventus is anywhere better than that I am all about giving it a go.

Aventus is available at Amazon.com, Holt Renfrew, and Harry Rosen... To name a few.....

BEWARE of some sellers with very cheap price tags you may get scammed with a fake.

I'd suggest . They make an oil version of this that is pretty well spot on. They modeled their version after a strong pineapple batch. That's a good thing. Their GIT is damn good, also.

I have this oil. I recently mixed it with real ambergris and about 15% molecule one... really really nice scent. I'm not sure how it compares to the original but for the price I paid it's divine. I'm having an issue with throw and longevity however. This might be where the real thing is worth it.

I bought a sample vial of green Irish Tweed, the first time I smelled it, I was upset because I thought of mouthwash(perhaps I was just thinking that way because I was under stress from work). Then the middle and bottom notes came in and is a very mystical, majestic and sweet scent. Love it but I'm waiting a few to make my final decision if creed is better or should it be its own category.

I'm going to second Snoopy's suggestion about the fragrance shop. They make a faithful copy of Aventus. I have genuine Aventus, with GIT and MI. Stay away from those discount cologne sellers, you get what you pay for. I thought it was all bullshit, the warnings that Creed put out but I once had two bottles of original Santal and bois du Portugal. Needed to verify if they were legit since I was selling them, so I took it to the local Creed boutique. The woman took two sniffs of both and automatically rejected them as fakes or very old stock. Luckily, Creed stands by their products (even if they are overpriced), she offered me full store credit on both bottles (that's how I got GIT and MI). So yea, go with the samples, TFS's copy or save up and get the legit stuff.

As for longevity, I can usually get about 8 hours out of it where it still projects and I'm in the Mid Atlantic region, so that's during winter time. Summetime, 6 hours solid unless it's as hot and humid as Satan's asscrack. Ladies love it, very smooth. Younger guys can pull it off but I think it works well with late 20's on upward. Works really well if you're in your 30s.

I got my samples in the mail this evening and rubbed a dab between my inner wrists and fell in love with it, all the way around

When I smelled it right out of the tubes it wasn't that impressive. Certainly not as much as GIT was from the sample bottle but once it dried down a bit I was very, very impressed

It would still be hard for me to justify the price for a full bottle but I will damn sure investigate the clone that Snoopy mentioned
