But because everyone is raving about it I took advantage of the sale and ordered a bottle from the TFS. (Thanks Snoopy for mentioning TFS) I have to say the smell is growing on me. It does smell very good. The only problem that I have is that I sprayed it in the morning and only in the evening my partner and I started to smell it. I still got whiffs of it 1 day later, but oils do take an excessive amount of time to warm up on my skin. :/

Damn, that is not true anymore Undecided

I had not used Aventus again since that day. I decided to wore it yesterday and today, and boy it does not smell nice at all. It's like the smell has changed. It now smells a lot like a cologne that I think my uncle used to wear. Something that a 40 yo guy with no taste would wear. Not sure what happened here.
I keep my bottle on the window shelf but there's been no sun nor excessive warmth. I don't believe I went from finding the scent very nice to disgusting

I've never had any luck with the fragrance sites that sell copycats in oil. They just never smell like the original to me... they also smell very cheap, especially after they site for a while...

I agree with this. Cutting costs often comes at the price of quality. Aventus at least showcases a good use of synthetics. If you have the option for either, I'd always go for the real thing.

The pineapple aspect of fir balsam is extremely prominent to me. Creating an all-natural Aventus-type fragrance should be no trouble at all. I'll try working on this late this year if possible.

For cheap source of Aventus, buy split they are offering 130$ for 100ml, I like ysl la nuit lhomme equally but after recent oakmoss ban la nuit isn't what it used to be, if you can get a hand on batch that is older than 2012 then la nuit is in equal spot with Aventus in term of the best cologne according to my nose,if you like la nuit, you should stack up on 2012 version if you find someone who sells it, I recently bought 3 bottles of La nuit de lhomme 2012 version. Insurrection pure II are very synthetic and aren't worth buying even if it is cheap.

this is one of the best Aventus fragrance oil I have ever smelt, I sometimes prefer this to my 15x01 Aventus

you can't go wrong with a pineapple fragrance, very versatile and mouth watering

What are your thoughts if i used my 16C01 batch and did a 5:1 aventus to NNPA? This that would be a good enough cover for the NNPA?

Count me in when you offer this up. I love those balsam/birch notes. My favorite fragrance so far from Creed is Erolfa - an outright sunny day. Aventus is a great layer for alpha mixes as it just screams "reliance".

Go and buy club de nuite intense. It smells exactly like Aventus, after the dry down.

Covering SOB
07-18-2017 11:02 PM

Would the real Aventus or the Fragrance Shop pure oil version of Aventus be better for covering SOB?
