We decided to skip over the beta tests and go right to integration. All of our formulas are now made form this new silicone base (as of the beginning of September).. It seems to be going well, but not as dramatic of a change as I had hoped. The newer reports do seem to indicate the formula hits hard and lasts longer though...

I wish you'd start putting version numbers on your products, so people could easily distinguish reports on one version versus another.

I second what dbot said. I wish True did the same thing with their products, but at least with theirs you can kind of follow it based on label design changes (variance in appearance, label type, etc)

Are all A-D products currently using this new formula? In other words, Corporativo as well?

EDIT: Nevermind. Answered my own question. Yes, all A-D products use this new formula.

I don't always use pheromone colognes, but when I do... I prefer Dos Equis.

In the future we could use stickers to identify the version whenever we make a change. However, I felt that after more thorough testing of this new silicone base, it was a relatively minor change.

It just evens out the diffusion rate. There is less of an initial "blast" of pheromones and it is more tuned for middle-range diffusion. It also projects better with fragrance now, more natural, even, and smooth, with less alcohol odor. Check out rattlesnake's report on the scented certo (latest silicone blend).

In the interests of scientific method as far as reporting goes, I understand where we could have went about this better.

Trust me on this. It's better, but still very much the same.

I meant we are using the new silicone blend for all new orders (including maschio) as of September..

The only thing which has changed here is the thickness and relative proportions of the dimethicones we use. Everything else is the same. All it does is ensure a more linear evaporation and diffusion rate of the pheromones and fragrance. It works just as well as the previous batches, only the diffusion rate is optimized.

Please don't make this into a bigger issue than it really is. Keep the faith, I've been doing this for a while and have a pretty good feel for what works..

I suppose it's an unfortunate truth that us, the more technical users of mones, are just that: technical.

We trust you, but in my opinion (and likely similar for many others) a product's diffusion rate/consistency is important to keep in mind when we write our journals. It can explain very minor tweaks to the hits observed.

I don't think anyone questions if it works at this point, but can't blame our curious nature. Smile

Version stickers would be awesome. Maybe do a letter/number format (ie: A.1., B1, A2) and increment the letter when a new base is used, then increment the number when a new phero formula is used. I'd imagine it would make it easy for both A-D and A-D customers to track changes.

EDIT: had to add periods after A and 1 to prevent forum autocorrect from doing this: Androstadienone .

I don't always use pheromone colognes, but when I do... I prefer Dos Equis.
