Well, I have been away from the whole pheromone scene for a while but I decided to look around today and am glad to see that my account here is still... Well, not banned. For SOME UNKNOWN REASON my account is BANNED at PheroTalk.com and from what I can see it says "Commercial Spammer"... WHAT!? As far as I know I have never posted a link at PheroTalk.com or done anything like that... I never spam forums, email or anywhere and have no idea where this is coming from...? Since I know some of the same people are here -- does anyone have any idea what has taken place?

There was a rash of banning at PT last year. It was a bit of a witch hunt and all sorts of people were burned at the cyber stake. Perhaps they inadvertently banned you during batch banning operations. In war, shit happens and you may be considered an "acceptable loss" by AD generals. Or perhaps you were known to frequent the threads of known spammers and were deemed guilty by association. The only way to know for sure is to git on da horn 'n call steve-o 'n ask WTF dude.

Your like the third person who told me they were banned and called commercial spammer when they never even posted a link or anything over there.

I cant explain why. Maybe they think people will be more accepting of banning a spammer then just banning someone because they dont like what they have to say.

We are pretty new as a forum. So far we only ban for real spam, disgusting porn or if you ignore repeated warnings. Its not a easy decision though or at least it shouldnt be.

And we've only banned three members in the last year, 2 of whom the reasons for banning are explained in this thread: http://pherotruth.com/Thread-We-regret-t...r-members, and a third member account was banned and deleted last week who had just registered and immediately posted a spam thread with a ton of links to a website selling counterfiet womens clothing and accesories, and they had an I.P address from China. Nuff said?

LOL No porn yet but we agreed on that rule right away

When I was with AD they got hit with disgusting porn once in a while. A few times it would slip by the filter and I would be wondering why there were 250 people all in one thread LOL

What Mark descibed is "real spam" or a commercial spammer. Sometimes people post links but if they are contruibuting members I dont look at that as spam unless they over do it in which case we would just tell them to knock it off LOL

Banning is a last resort in my opinion.
