Hey guys,

I just received my Aqua Vitea Scented today and I put a drop on and it smells really bad. Like a sweaty armpit or cat urine. At first when i get a wiff of the bottle or put it on (one drop) it smells pretty good like citrusy cologn but i can still smell this sharp pungment smell behind it. As 30 minutes to an hour passed by, the citrusy smelling is gone and just smells like sweaty armpit. And now its been like 6 hours and time to time I can still smell the bad smell.

Can you guys tell me what is going on? I read everywhere that AV smells really good and I only put on one drop on my wrist. Now I feel self conscience to wear it in public.
Also, I havne't got a chance to wear it in public yet because I just got it and I have to study for my finals .

Is this normal?

LOL, this is too funny. You're one of the rare people who are sensitive to the scent of pheromones. In this case, you're smelling androstenone, which does smell like sweat/piss. Most people won't be as sensitive to it as you are. In any case, you can use a stronger cologne with it in order to avoid messing up your nose and to avoid letting other sensitive people smell it.

Oh man really? So people around me wont have the same smell i am smelling? Do you even smell that sharp "androstenone" smell behind the citrusy smell?

I can't smell it, and most people around you won't, but some people can. I've not carefully put enough cologne over it before, and a guy said out loud "did a kid pee in here or something, it smells like piss". In my head it was like "oh shit, needed a stronger cover"

Ah i see thanks DGamer. As long as most people don't smell it, I ll be fine. I though something was wrong with my batch and about to contact garry but I ll ask people first lol.
Btw. it won't effect if i put cover colong right on top of it right?

If you put the cologne over it, it'll hurt diffusion, but will cover the scent better.
If you put the cologne under it (apply cologne, then put the AV over that) it'll diffuse better but people have a higher chance of smelling the piss.
I'd personally go with cologne under.

I'm not too fond of the smell either, it reminds me of bug spray for some reason. I was getting a bit frustrated with AV after trying it out a handful of times and not seeing any noticeable results. After researching a bit on here, I decided to go with a cover scent. It's a great smelling knock off cologne, but the results have been fantastic!

I find that some people can ALWAYS smell it. I wore 4 sprays of Kouros this Sunday, which is nuclear in terms of strength. A friend of mine who has a really good nose (REALLY good, he tells me he can smell if a female is in her period) tells me he smelled sweat when I moved close to him (30 cm from him). Haven't solved this issue yet.
