HI PN123,

You must be a contributing member AKA (Have a certain amount of post one topics discussed in the forum)

There were some issues with revealing members private journals to new people as they could be family, co-workers, or bosses digging around for information.

Also some new people like to get the benefits of the forum and what members have uploaded, things they have worked hard on, and spent money on for free without giving anything back to the community or showing appreciation.

Any specific info what the requirements are to be able to read the journals. They are often referenced and it would be great to read them.

Thank you,

Just keep being active and you will be there pretty quickly.

Stop striving for PERFECTION, because the closer you get to achieving it the further away the goalpost moves. Instead, concentrate on PROGRESS, because you that you can meet and surpass every day!

This isn't exactly the right thread, but I can't seem to find it.
After having been a member for 4 months, I am finally able to read journals and can as far as I can tell participate fully. But one thing that has baffled me from day one, and I still haven't figured it out is - what are "reps"? I keep seeing them referred to in posts, but I haven't got a clue.

Another thing that I've been wondering about - what is a warning level? In each of my posts, under my username it says "Warning Level: 0%" This started showing up a week or two ago. I have no clue what it means, and haven't seen anyone else with a "Warning Level."

Reps are given to show appreciation for a particularly good post, or adversely negative reps can be used to show disapproval for a particularly nasty post. Most members never or very rarely give neg reps, and only when someone is acting extremely rude or abusive. Positive reps increase a members reputation and negative reps will decrease it. Members are able to give or take 1% of their total reputation to others by repping them. Reps are shown and can be given in the user information column to the left of every post.

Warning levels are shown in all posts, but members can only see their own warning level. Warnings are just what they sound like: If a member violates forum policy they may be issued a warning. Warnings are not permanent, but if a member racks up enough warnings before they expire they are subject to ban or being placed in moderation.

Warnings are much like negative reps though, in that it is very rare that a member will receive a warning, and in the more than 5 years that PheroTruth has existed I could probably count the number members to have received warnings on the fingers of one hand, and of those only 2 received more than a single warning.

Stop striving for PERFECTION, because the closer you get to achieving it the further away the goalpost moves. Instead, concentrate on PROGRESS, because you that you can meet and surpass every day!
