Wait a second…This is the same department that is in the midst of a congressional investigation and whose unexplained record destruction practices are under intense scrutiny, right?

While you might expect an agency in the IRS’s current position to be hesitant to get caught destroying anything else that could be perceived as evidence, they really don’t seem to mind. The Washington Times reports:

The head of the irs needs to be fired, and put in jail. I can't believe the a amount of leniency this department is getting. It's embarrassing to watch.
