Just curious - do people apply the spray or oil before leaving home or just before meeting a target (eg when arriving at work or at the meeting location)?

I'd say with the oil, apply sooner. You can wait longer with the spray, if need be, but unless it's hot and the product is burning off fast you should be good for hours.

Wind isn't your friend no matter what you wear. They'd have to be huddled close, nose practically on your app points.
