I'm sure some of you noticed the forum slow to a crawl and then saw the myBB crashed table statement a little earlier today, and are now getting the CloudFlare "Checking Your Browser" message.

The reason for this is that the forum came under attack again and the server was hammered with TCP requests until it took down the server and crashed the sessions table in the database.

The issue has now been fixed but I am leaving the CloudFlare protection set on "I'm Under Attack" for now, just to make sure that the attack doesn't resume.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone, but there's really not a lot that can be done about malicious assholes who get their rocks off by fucking with websites.

I was on it almost as quickly as the attack started, because I get an immediate email notification from the server any time that resource usage becomes excessive, which is a pretty solid clue that something bad is going on. Oh, and you're welcome!

Strange coincidence that the attack happened a day after this thread was posted. Probably just a coincidence but you never know.
