I have some stuff that's 3 years old and I don't like using it any more. Alpha Dream products certainly seem to spoil after a time. I'm starting to think they went bad a while ago. Perhaps the nols oxidized to androstenone. I would have said 'maybe the nols just evaporated' or that my reaction changed but I have bottles of androstAnol, alpha and beta androstenol... I sometimes get Androstenone type reactions from them, stress, etc.

I'm seriously looking at scrapping a significant portion of my collection. Does androstadienone go bad or become less effective with age? it seems to still work as a single molecule to some extent, but I don't have any new sample to compare it with.

I assume DHEAS might convert to DHEA so it might still act like a buffer. Does DHEA convert to anything?

Thoughts?

In the future, I'm going to try and avoiding buying stuff that I won't use within a year's time, and maybe refrigerating things more. Maybe single use packets were a better idea that I realized a while back.

Alpha Dream products are the only ones I've ever found to go-off. I had some Possess Alpha that was thick with growing stuff/sludge and a very sour note to its scent within eighteen months and my little used bottle of AV is going the same way.

Androstadienone - I only ever remove amounts from my stock bottles for mixing-up in cologne or oil for active use. They get used till they are finished but uncontaminated, the stock lasts for years.

Other phero companies - well, I have bottles of some of their products from back in 2009 that are just as usable and effective as the day they arrived. Cool/dark storage and in airtight boxes of course.

I asked John from PTreasures about this and he said his products will last over 2 years.

Alpha Dream products does seem to expire after 3 years, from what I've read here.

As for other companies I'm not sure.

Those are Liquid Alchemy Labs products, not Alpha Dream.

Hmm, I was under the assumption that most mones should last years and years if taken care of like keeping away from heat and direct sunlight, akin to perfumes.

In any case, I guess I'll be more mindful of the mones mentioned here and maybe just order something I know I could use within 2 years.

Very interesting topic you bring up...I will be very mindful of my mone collection or just opt in buying the 10ml or 15ml option and not buy so many at once. We spend enough as is no need to waste $$ on shit with an expiration date.

I should mention that I didn't take good care of the stuff, and I'm sure it was exposed to +90 temps for days at a time. Even so, I'm keeping my stuff low volume and refrigerated from now on.

AD products like AM for sure only last a few years.(1-3). That's why I never buy more than 1 bottle at a time.

That's interesting, considering I remember Chris saying it should last at least 3-4 years in an older thread discussing this same topic.
