Ubiquinol for androstadienone related depression?
11-23-2014 1:56 PM

I use a fair bit of androstadienone and the depression from it is an issue for me. Alternative Girl has recommended B vitamins, coconut water and vit. C (presumably mixed cation).

I've started adding ubiquinol, an anti-oxidant which is produced by the same pathway in the body that produces cholesterol, to that stack, and it's been tremendously helpful.

This may be because it's helping with my ADD. Or it may be because it's helping with the androstadienone related depression.

I'm curious about other people's experiences.

I take PQQ, Ubiquinone (I'm under 30), ALCAR and ALA for mitochondrial support. I don't take dienone though, so I can't help!

Any reason for ubiquinone rather than ubiquinol?

This is dated, but I believe he takes it because he is under 40 (30's..). The recommendation is take ubiquinol if you are over 40...I do and am over 40.

I take all of these except PQQ....and I take Ubiquinol...Didn't feel a difference with PQQ.

I also take Tumeric.
