Hey everyone,

I am a 30yr old guy from Perth Australia who has been using mones for a few years now, pretty much just from AD.

My usage has been rather sporadic of late, but looking into playing a bit more seriously again, starting out with TLG from LPMP.

Now I am a little OC about deliveries because I once had about $400 worth of mones stolen from my front door, so I have a question to ask.

I have obviously dealt with a lot of delivery companies before with online purchases, but I don’t think I have ever dealt with USPS. I signed on for delivery updates, so I will be aware what day my delivery should arrive, the first couple of days I got emails telling me each step and where it is, now all I am getting is an email saying it has reached “A facility” and is on route to “another facility.”
No mention of city state or even country.
To anyone out of the US, is this normal for USPS once it leaves the US?
Most deliveries usually spend a couple of days in the US making its way to an international airport, then a day to (maybe) Singapore, another day to Perth and then overnight customs and a day or two for the package to get delivered. Usually ranging between a week to two to get delivered. I’m just trying to work out whether it’s still bouncing around the US right now, or whether I should expect it in the next few days.

I don't know about international but it happens from time to time when the delivery estimate is way off and it will be stuck in "In Transit to Next Facility" for a few days even past the delivery estimate. This has happened a couple of times to me and my best guess is their system thinks the package is going on an airplane but it ends up on a truck instead. Another possible explanation is that it arrives to a facility and sits there for a few days before it is scanned.

Basically I'm saying if you see it stuck at "In Transit to Next Facility" longer than expected its probably nothing to worry about.

Hasn’t happened to me personally, but I have friends who ship mones to my house because their neighborhood has some challenges in that area.

Tons of stay at home moms, teleworking professionals, and dog walkers keep that at bay in certain neighborhoods.

I sometimes need to ship internationally (outside of the United States) in my businesses and I quite a bit of the time a package just stops being updated after it leaves the US borders.

That depends on the Country in question, but i think Australia is pretty good about local updating once they receive it.

Based on my experience, USPS tracking seems to get lost in ether whenever a border is crossed.

The absolute best tracking system I've ever seen is DHL's.

For DHL, there are usually like 24 update "steps" for an item being shipped from the US to get to my doorstep in Canada. And everyhting is pretty much updated in real time.

I mean *Label printed* *Item pick-up* *Item at sorting center* *Item leaving sorting center* *Item in transit to airport* *Item arrived in custom* *Item processed by customs* *Item in transit to sorting center* and so on... up to *Item in transit to destination* *Item delivered* *Item signed for*. Initial shipping ETA after pick-up is usually exact.

DHL has some flaws, but regarding tracking, wow, they must be taken seriously.

My parcel is in Melbourne for some unknown reason. Never had a delivery come through the east coast, but at least I know where it is now.

Amazingly for another package I currently have being sent through USPS that is still in the US, the auspost site actually gives me more up to date details of where the other package is.

Yeah, I have been happy with the updates from DHL, Conjurator, tbh most are fairly decent that I have worked with before. That is why I was so confused with this one, and of course amused that I had never dealt with them before, but currently have two deliveries with them.

My guess would be about Tuesday. I was hoping to get it a little sooner, to run some field tests before a friends single launch Wednesday night. However it looks like Wednesday might end up being the first field test... Game on!
