How close to the person do I have to be for its full effectiveness? I've heard you can be in an enclosed room with the same person and it will work, no matter how far you are, just that the mones work best at close range?

Depends on the carrier, molecular weight of the mones involved, air pressure, temperature, humidity, and direction and speed of airflow.
