That's very interesting, it could be beneficial..or lead to infections even more horrific than ones we currently deal with. Case in point, we still don't understand how HIV made the jump from primates to humans. Especially because it is a blood born illness, which leads me to make an educated guess. That scientist may have been experimenting with using primates as blood donors for transfusions ( we do use pigs for organ donors).
