Has anyone noticed when you have a stressful day, people can sense it when you are in their presence.

I thought this was an interesting article.

I guess that's how dogs sense when a human has fear. Street dogs only attack to those who have fear of them.

Very cool, thank you for sharing.

I had to chuckle over the suggested prospect of using fear pheromones to induce terror in enemy troops. Reminded me of the last failed military pheromone experiment, dubiously known as the Gay Bomb.

I always thought that once you accept the concept of human pheromones that fear and stress and sickness should also be communicated. I looked cortisol and cortisones (eg. Prednisolone) up and they are quite similar to the substances we use as mones or to steroids that are described to have pheromonic behavior. They share the basic 17-C-atom structure, just with different functional groups to it.
I even have a solution of 1mg/ml prednisolone in alcohol, but never tried it because I assume it gives a negative signature of stress and inflammation. But who knows...

Absolutely.

When I was going through a dark negative stressful time. People would avoid me like the plague. Even trying my best to smile and stay positive, etc.

There is no science to back this up, but from my experience, negativity attracts more negativity. In contrast, if you have a positive outlook, more positive things will come to you.

I agree. It is nigh of impossible to scientifically quantify such things, but for the duration of humanity the idea of like attracts like had been a truism. The Wiccan law of three, Karma, Thelemic beliefs, the so-called law of attraction coupled with positive action, as ye sow so shall ye reap, what comes around goes around, and other adages have permeated our wisdom.

Just like fear, stress, anxiety, and negativity; positivity is also contagious and is readily picked up by others.
