Skin absorbtion

Good evening folks!

I've found out something interesting recently and wanted hear your opinions.

I'm not the first one who talks about this topic, but I haven't found a thread about this exactly:

Is it possible that dry skin can just absorb mones & cologne and decrease the effects?

I started to put on some fatty nivea cream before applying cologne & mones, so there's some kind of "grease shield" between skin and mones. It works pretty well, I must say that my recent tests with Nude + HS worked better than before.

What do you think? Am I just crazy or could this work? Big Grin Or is it so obvious that nobody opened a thread? P

Greets

Alex

Yes, quenching the thirst of your skin by moisturizing first does help!

Certain silicone bases, (such as the one we use called D5), are also helpful, because, in the case of D5, it's molecularly too large to be absorbed by the skin, so it just sits on top of the skin. You have to be careful about your choice of silicones though. D4 WILL be absorbed by the skin and is suspected as being a health hazard. The product commercially known as "silk base" is a mixture of D4 and D5 - I believe it is really meant for use on the hair, but it's also in some skin care products. If you want the benefit of silicone without the risk, you want to specifically be looking for D5, which also goes by the names CPS and Cyclopentasiloxane.

But in any case, yes, you are on the right track. Just moisturize before use and it should lengthen the life of your scents and Pheromones on the skin. Smile

Thanks a lot Mara!

I think I'll stick to the normal greasy creams you can buy in every store, ordering silicone is way too much effort if I can get the same results with 1.99$ Nivea... ;)

Thanks again and have a nice day!
