Say you're engaging in a conversation with a handsome gentleman or a beautiful lady. Everything is going well, both of you are laughing, but then there's the male or female friend that comes during the middle of the conversation, interrupts, and ruins the momentum.

What would you recommend to deal with this scenario?

Automatic weapons. Works every time. Sure, the person is dead, you scare the hell out of everyone, and then the cops get involved. And then there's the trial and prison time. And then your executon. But... that person won't bother ANYONE again. And that should bring some comfort.

Well, you could just say, "Excuse me, we're in the middle of talking here. Do you mind?" Interrupt them back. Crap right back on them.

If this is something that happens every time, then start asserting yourself, and word will get around that you push back. It may not stop it completely, but it doesn't work to your advantage to not do something.

"Hey, is your friend always like this?" with a WTF look on your face. You're giving your target a common enemy, which is a bonding experience. You're framing the cockblocker as weird, and your target doesn't want to have a weird friend if you've developed a good rapport with her. And you're probably giving her space to admit that her friend is unattractive and cost her a few hot guys in the past with her jealous cockblocking ways.

Barefoot offers a great way to accomplish what you're seeking to remedy. The friend not leaving / cooperating after trying to diffuse the situation presents you with an opportunity to Number / facebook close them. Depending on the situation number closing might work better than trying to get your target alone.
