Does anyone have any experience with or a similar service?
They claim to be able to match discontinued colognes.

I'm looking to have my beloved Aramis Surface matched, but I've never used a service like this before.

The first 3.4oz bottle goes for 60 bucks, but all bottles after that are 30. That's a better deal than the $300 sellers on ebay want.

Anybody here ever tried it?

No I have never used them. Prices are a bit steep for dupes though. I would say it would be worth it for a scent you just cant find anywhere else duped.

Is there a particular scent your looking for ?

I'm looking for Aramis Surface. I haven't found it at any of the scent-alike places that I use.

Scent matchers said they found the recipe and can match it. I just wonder how close to the real thing it would be.

Looks like a company to avoid.

Over at the basenotes forum, a couple of members have posted complaints from the BBB. They also say the matches stink and there is no return of the matched scent allowed.

Do not use scentmatchers dot com.

I've read lots of bad stuff about this company. Looks like one to avoid.

Did you ever find a good place making discontinued scents? I'm still looking.

Wish I had seen this website before I ordered from Scentmatchers.
If I had I would not be out of $80. They never sent my order and
will not respond to my email inquiries. Lesson learned!:dash2::dash2:

Try over at
They have small sizes of a lot of frangrances - not the easiest site to navigate, but the search pulls up quite a lot, and some of the more expensive stuff I've been looking for can be found as part of a sampler from half a milliliter up to 4-5 ml sprayers or droppers, and most of the ones I've ordered are 2-4 different scents from 10-30 bucks, and some are less than $10 for individual small sizes of scents. Really interesting site, I've seen tons of stuff I could go broke smelling, and the way they organize scents into groups is really cool too. Some are discontinued, rare, not found in the U.S., etc. so it has really launched me into an education about colognes.
