Hi, I'm about to head off to hotter climates for a few weeks back packing. I reckon the average temperature during the day will be 30 deg C + (86 def F).

I really want to bring most of my mones with me for some excellent testing opportunities... the thing is I am somewhat concerned that they will lose their potency in such heat?

Although I won't store them in direct sunlight... they will be exposed to a hotter temperature for most of the day everyday for around 3 weeks.

I'll be staying in hostels so I won't really have access to a refrigerator (not that I store them in this at the moment anyway).

Does anyone have any tips / advice regarding this?

Buy some small vials and put just what you need into them, leave the original bottles at home. If they gi bad with heat, you just lose 10 or 15% of your products.

The room should be air conditioned depending on where you are though right?

You will not have much problem putting in a cupboard. Don't expose them to direct sunlight. I stay in the same climate and haven't had much problem.

By the way, only oils will work in that environment. Sprays are no-no at that temperature. Mones will fly away withing 2 to 3 hours.

Does Heat Affect Pheromones?

Heat does not affect pheromones. Heat is used in the pheromone production process. Heat can degrade the scents of the essential oils that are used in the scented pheromone products.

Direct sunlight is not good for pheromones. Direct sunlight is not good for scented or unscented products so I would recommend that you store your pheromone products in a cool, dark place. If you do, they can last for many years. Other than that, heat is not a problem.

I've carried oils in hot climates and haven't found them to deteriorate. Not sure about sprays. Would keep them out of direct sunlight of course, just because direct sunlight is intense and messes a lot of things up

Get a thermos. I'd worry more about the container leaking and stuff. Had a whole AV leaked on my trip once. Fun times.

Hi,

I stay in a climate where summers are 30 to 40 deg C. I have been using mones for 4yrs. The only thing that gets affected is sillage & longevity. So ensure u dont expose them to direct heat/sunlight & you will be fine.

Also, I travel a lot & I usually carry the small vials for any testing I plan to do on my trips other than the staple mones which I carry in their original bottles.
