Good point Spider. Maybe a traditional status product would change the interaction. A strong enough artificial VIP aura could do the trick.

Hit the gym as well and get plenty of protein. I started taking my protein shake 10 min after workouts as opposed to an hour after and the gains have been much more significant everything else staying constant.

If you truly become high value, you no longer have to mimic the action or follow the beliefs of high-value men

Having the courage to not make hitting on girls creepy is all you need.

Wing Chun is your best bet for self defense, IMO

Hold onto your beliefs loosely, and hold onto your truths tightly.

Or its derivative which holds Wing Chun as its core for infighting, Jeet Kune Do or the currently popular MMA (looks like it is derived from JKD; we even see Bruce Lee dressed in what would become MMA garb during a sparing contest at the beginning of his cult film, Enter the Dragon).

Over 6,000 years ago the earliest form of a mixed martial art was invented in ancient China by Han Chinese military generals and soldiers called Shuai jiao. It is an ancient style of Wrestling and Kung-Fu that incorporated grappling techniques that are the earliest ancient precursors of modern jujitsu and judo combined with kicking, punching, throwing, joint locks, finger locks, leg sweeps, leg locks and close range trapping techniques used by elite ancient Han Chinese military forces to kill enemy soldiers on the battlefield.

Any kung fu techniques back then often imitated animals e.g., crane, dragon, snake etc. Many of these 'styles' often took much too long to become effective i.e., 18 years (10 to master external striking arts, 8 to develop inner strength 'chi') in the Shaolin temple.

In order to expedite the process of effective warriors, the process was distilled probably in many different ways to come up with the MOST effective techniques. One such notable way was Wing Chun, said according to legend to be invented by a woman. Legends aside, it did streamline the process from roughly 18 years to 5 years. Still, as all 'styles'...it was not perfect.

Now if you read further along in the article that you quoted you will read:

Quote:During the late 1960s to early 1970s, the concept of combining the elements of multiple martial arts was popularized in the west by Bruce Lee via his system of Jeet Kune Do. Lee believed that "the best fighter is not a Boxer, Karate or Judo man. The best fighter is someone who can adapt to any style, to be formless, to adopt an individual's own style and not following the system of styles." In 2004, UFC President Dana White would call Lee the "father of mixed martial arts" stating: "If you look at the way Bruce Lee trained, the way he fought, and many of the things he wrote, he said the perfect style was no style. You take a little something from everything. You take the good things from every different discipline, use what works, and you throw the rest away".

What's the difference between 6000 years ago and Bruce Lee's JKD?

The concept of transition or adaptation. In fact JKD is superior because Bruce combined Western boxing/savate/fencing moves into this which didn't exist 6000 years ago. Therefore, it logically follows that the modern JKD is richer in not only technique but also philosophy than what was available 6000 years ago.

Thanks for proving my point by quoting the link to the article.

Without further thread hijacking, hopefully someone will suggest other pheromonal applications to check bullies...besides fighting, weapons, verbal self defense, body posturing/language.

Just as warfare has changed over the millenia, so have techniques.

Almost certain that JKD is a totally different animal than what was around 6000 years ago. The concept of change and evolution are apparent.

Similarly, the field of medicine has also changed since the time of Hippocrates.

If the only difference that you can perceive is '6000 years,' then you might as well repudiate any modern medical practitioners as well as the plethora of advancements/changes in the interim (such that modern medicine hardly resembles what was thousands of years ago; totally different methods/diagnoses) and in case of illness, find a doctor that is familiar with techniques from Hippocrates time.

Thanks Doc! It is especially peculiar given the fact that the article which he linked himself, substantiates my point...if one decides to read past the first paragraph. It provided me much mirth.

My original intention was to positively add to or complement RussianWolf's post in which RR recommended Wing Chun as a means of dealing with bullies. I agree that Wing Chun is highly effective in close range and some feel that it is the best in close/infighting hands down. This is the reason that Lee retained WC as a core of his own system, JKD. JKD simply reduces the learning time to become effective and JKD was meant to buttress the weaknesses by morphing useful aspects from many fighting disciplines.

But, anyway without further digression ....let's get back to pheromones.
