Pepper/Nutmeg or FXS for Cohesion
05-09-2013 10:23 PM

Hi Guys,

Longtime AD user (4+ yrs) and super excited to try Steve's new mixes.

I'm going to start with cohesion as an Androstadienone substitute in my mixes and then go from there.

What scent seems to work best - Pepper/Nutmeg, FXS or no scent at all?

I heard Steve's stuff packs a big bite of mones so I want to be aware of the smell and I'm mostly going to be pairing with some AD products as I have a lot of them so it will need to go well with Akuto, Neroli and Summer Ammo.

Thanks and can't wait to get in on this.

Gats

PS: Big shout out to steve's customer service too. Got replies to my support emails from the man himself super quick. Glad to see he's still the same steve and the fame hasn't gone to his head Wink

I recall some of my fellow members and Steve himself saying that Pepper/Nutmeg works by opening up the nasal passages and by inciting people to breathe in a bit deeper? I myself haven't smelled Pepper/Nutmeg but it was reviewed favorably.

As for FXS, it's very aquatic and earthy... really reminds me of high class cologne, very masculine. I personally like it very much, maybe I'll pair FXS with some of Androtic's scents and I'll tell you if they go well or not, I believe that they do Smile

Love FXS but noticed females love Pepper Nutmeg

P and N is a better hitter and easier to cover, anything with a pepper note to it works.

My top 5 products (In no order):

- AD's MX 297
- Alpha Dreams L2K
- LS Impi
- Pheromone XS SOB
- Pheromone XS Bliss

Another vote for pepper/nutmeg because it hits like a truck and has very good range, however fxs goes the best with neroli imo.

Straight Neroli yes, but most newer scents on the market have pepper as an element for the projection, and Neroli is not as common. In the mone world it is common for a couple vendors, so for mixing it may be a good idea. I know Hax and Androntics use Neroli a lot. But I do not typically mix their products with Steves.

My top 5 products (In no order):

- AD's MX 297
- Alpha Dreams L2K
- LS Impi
- Pheromone XS SOB
- Pheromone XS Bliss

I have both and I kind of like Pepper and Nutmeg slightly better.
Both are fine though.

Ah, I kind of honestly miss Androtic's Neroli scent.
I love it.

Would jump on that scent asap if Steve would have it one day.

In my experience the great thing about Pepper and Nutmeg is its versatility. I've found if you let it dry it doesn't clash with almost any other cologne, which is great when you want to wear your own scent. It simply adds a spicy note to whatever cologne you put over it. The other great thing is that if you don't want to cover it up with your own, it is strong enough to cover the mones by itself.
I wouldn't think of it as a sexy scent by any means, I would hardly consider it a cologne, but rather it smells simply natural. For guys that dislike colognes, this is the best option out there. I can see what Steve says about it opening up your nose for the mones, it almost makes my nose tingle every time I smell it. I would say it is pleasant, natural, and simple. For Cohesion, a blend that I use for comfort with women, I say this fragrance is the right one.

FXS on the other hand is on the same branch as Cool Water. FXS is more soapy and a tad greener to my nose, but it is fresh and on the young side. I'd say this would be a good option if you're a young guy or want to project a young vibe. It is perfect for day products like flirt, bliss, etc

Nobility is one I actually really liked. Steve included a sample of it with my last order and I finally got to smell it. It is spicy and good. Not as spicy as pepper/nutmeg, but Nobility, like FXS, is a cologne. This is something you want if you like fragrances and dress to impress. I'd say it would go well with any product and is quite versatile for day or night. I really enjoy this one.

Sultan's Oud is mature, wealthy, serious, powerful. It projects respect and status. Guess with what I think it goes best with....you guessed it, Ascend. Might be more appropriate for the over 30 crowd. Strong, but still appropriate for office wear.

Last, Fresh Musk is the manliest of the bunch. It is rugged, smellier, unapologetic. If you're a macho guy or outdoor type, get it. I would say it isn't the most appropriate for office wear. Best product with it: SOB

Now if you're looking to mix a lot of products I'd say go with Pepper and Nutmeg or FXS. You don't want to smell for miles away.

Thanks for the great summary on SteveO's cover scents. Best writeup on it yet.

I've asked this before, but received a reply which didn't help much. Can you compare the nobility scent to any of the mainstream popular colognes out there? When I asked this in the past, the reply was of some obscure, French sounding cologne that I didn't even know existed.

Nobility reminds me of the old Michael Jordan cologne... The one that first came out. Been forever since I smelled it but that's the only thing I am reminded of.. That and slightly a tad bit like Sean Jeans I Am King.
