I have yet to look into this, but do samples run about the same from wherever you buy them? Any places to avoid?

Are you asking about actual cologne or did you mean fragrance oil(essential oil)?

It is my understanding that when you purchase scented product from a vendor they used fragrance oil to scent the product.

There are several vendors that sell samples of fragrance oil. If that is what you are referring to, I can let you know of some that I have tried.

I normally buy a sample once from the website with the best deal but the websites I get my samples are and ebay.

I'll answer my own question. Etsy seems to be a great place if you're wanting to buy with confidence. Some good sellers there. Fair prices. There are some places that decanter high end colognes and divide it into various sized vials and atomizers. The reviews on the sights I looked at were mixed at best.
