I have a bottle of 50mcg/spray 30ml P83 with 6% neroli musk, and want to dilute it to 10mcg/spray 30ml bottle. I have everclear 190 proof, and DPG. Can someone tell me the ratio of alcohol and oil to get about the same amount of hours of usable life? Also, can I just add EO's with base medium and high notes to bring back scent to 6% of volume?

I have been trying to figure these things out for several hours, and I think I still don't really understand how to mix . Any suggestions welcome.

Ok there are 200 sprays in a 30.

Thats 200 x 50= 10000 mcg or 10 mg

10 mcg per spray would be 2000 mcg per 30 ml

Or 2 mg.


You want a total of 2 mg in a 30.

So 1/5 of a 30 is 6 ml

1/5 of 10 is 2.

Pipette that out into a 30 and add 24 ml of etoh or everclear.


I could have easily said take 1/5 of the original and fill it up to 30 but this way you have a better idea.

Do you think I should add DPG as a fixative when doing that? I heard on another forum that I should add some for dilutions but I really have no idea how much.

That im not sure about. Dpg may control the diffusion rate. One trick i read about was add a couple of drops of dpg in a togo with the mix and it would slow the diffusion down.
