Hello fellows

A while back I posted a message about low sex drive, fat gain and hrt.

I told you I attend the Mens clinic in toronto which treat low test, sexual problems etc.

Well they tested my testosterone and here are the results:

Testosterone: 8.2 (Normal 8.4 -28.8) nmol/L Result: LOW

testosterone free: 18.6 (Normal 25-80) pmol/L Result: LOW

Lutropin (LH) Total Prolactin 46 (normal 2-18) Result: HIGH


Now even with these dismall results the doctor was trying to get me on injection therapy for erections and pushing back the administration of HRT.. why?

He told me the total results of my test show that my test is low but may not be the reason for erection problems. Yet I more worried right now about my health than scoring. I mean doesn't it make sense I get my hormones levels up to natural for my age?

Thus I told him I am going to wait on the penis injection therapy and go for more bloodwork for testosterone.

Depending on this he will either decide to prescribe test or not. I sure hope he does. I wonder why he didn't treat it like it was a major issue.. I mean low test can eventually kill right? Or do you think there were other reasons he didn't want me treated for low test right away.

I complained of lethargy, lack of focus , no sex drive, weakness in muscles, problems sleeping and he blamed that all on my depression/anxiety illness and meds and not low test levels.. he told me that my doctor has to get that issue resolved and my test will come to normal. Well I've been on the meds for 13 years and things aren't going to change there soon.. I need the meds. Also I don't think getting anxiety and depression issues resolved will leave me with normal test levels, and furthermore at this stage of the illness if i change/stop meds I could end up hospitalized.

Now last time I was tested for HRT was years ago and my test levels were roughly the same.. What is the impact of test levels being so low for so long?



What are your thoughts? Should I force HRT or find a doctor who WILL administer?
