Cologne splits

I have a chance to buy splits from a reputable person. I don't know them personally but they have a good reputation in the perfume field. I don't think that authenticity will be an issue.

Are there any downsides to buying splits?

They do tend to be more expensive on a per-volume basis. If the original bottles matter to you, this may be considered an additional downside. Lastly, many splits are purchased as full bottles by the seller only after all slots are filled - if you're short on time, purchasing a decant or sample would be a preferable alternative. Any downsides beyond this would extend to cologne resellers in general, such as the ability to assess the authenticity of fragrance. Granted, this issue tends to be overblown, and there are many reputable resellers of both full bottle colognes and splits. This is what seller ratings are intended for, after all.

You don't get a shiny bottle and a cool package.Other than that, non I have seen. As long as he got a picture of the bill, original bottle, and got reputation, all should be good. Got Aventus from a split and no regrets.

Yeah, seems like he has all of that and the batch number too.

The math seems funny as he is selling a 50ml Aventus split for $56. A 500 ml flacon of Adventus is $865.00. So that works out to 10 splits at $56=$560 and shipping is included. He is loosing $30 per sale?

There is a website that charges $147 for the 50ml split (

Yeah, there is no way to tell if it is authentic or not. The only way to guarantee that is to purchase it from Creed or a major department store. The funny thing is that the rating buyers if they are first time buyers of the scent can't tell the clone from the original. I don't care about the bottle but authenticity is paramount. I'll probably just order it from Creed.

That price doesn't sound right to me either. Even if this was purchased from a discounted, third-party seller, there would be no possibility of profiting at that price. The lowest I've seen a 120mL bottle of Aventus in the past three years is approximately $200.

Yeah, I dunno. I agree. I'm just going to order it from

That's sound too fishy so you made the right choice by ordering from creed boutique.Creed wasn't that expensive when I got it ....they do like to increase their prices every year tho.It was way expensive than your deal and had to pay for shipping and the bottle(got it from base notes don't know or trust other perfume forums).

I have purchased Creed 5ml splits from the theperfumedcourt.com and they were good.
Not cheap, but def good.
Also got the same products from ebay (2ml vials) and a few other places which were acceptable but not as good imo.

You may be better off wearing nutella, maybe some chick might want to lick it off
