Hi Guys,

Dusted off my AV as I haven't used it in a while. It's been kept in a cool dark area in a box and upright.

However when I went to put a drop I noticed that it was quite cloudy. It still seemed to have a good effect as I used 1 spray Wolf and 1 drop AV and got the glamour effect of AV just fine.

Any ideas why this may have happened or if it's happened to anyone else?

It's happened to me... can't say why or if it caused it to act any different though. I got a new 30ml recently and it hasn't reached the cloudy stage yet.

had mine for a couple years also stored in a dark drawer.
Just checked...cloudy AF.
Might start wearing it again one of these days.

Completely cloudy or just some floating nebula? Does it get clear if shaked? Roll-on or dropper?

Yeah it's basically cloudy and white. This was after shaking and it is 30ML bulb dropper.

I may shoot Garry a note to make sure. My AV is 1 yr old max.

Condensation/water will make it go cloudy.

Just wear it and see what it does. I don't think it will kill you. The worst thing that can happen is that it doesn't work. Smell the bottle and if you still get the self effects chances are it is good

Good point. Humidity in a place can interact with the content if not properly closed. Since it is a dropper I presume you have to open and close every time so this may be the cause. What you go could be an emulsion of moisture in DPG.

If it is just water and assuming the enviroment is not contaminated with anything special there's no reason to suppose degradation. Roll ons on the other hand are more prone to end contaminated by bacteria because of direct skin contact, but not sure how probable is this.

So that, I'd suggest storage in a dark, cold and dry place. I'm thinking if adding a dessicant bag of silica gel may prevent this.

Ok so I think I've gotten to the bottom of this cloudy AV situation.

For the most part I always store my mones away and transfer them to eye dropper bottles based on what I feel like using. So in general I'm not opening/closing them too much and don't think it's moisture or bacteria related.

Turns out that the AV was in a part of my closet where there's a bit of draft and with the super cold weather the bottle was very cold. When I transferred to eye dropper bottle and it warmed up the cloudiness seemed to be gone.

All in all the AV still works. Spiked my wolf with just one drop and the AV stares were out in full force.

Thanks for the help and would be interested to see if other cloudy AV's share the same experience.
