Somehow I couldn’t resist the urge to write this up…

Let me say first off (and this may come as a shock to many of you), that I almost never wear pheromones... the reason why I guess is because I live in a very small, middle-of-america dead-end type of town, and there is never anyplace to go aside from some country-style bars with typically middle-aged women whose face could stop a clock, and biker dudes sporting thick handlebar moustaches and bandannas… God I don’t know why I didn’t get out of this fucking place a long time ago.

The irony here is that the town is called “pleasant valley,” and the centerpiece of the village is a massive graveyard and a country store showing off women’s clothes from what appears to be 1955 in their windowsills. It’s the type of place you can only imagine in a steven king novel.

It seems like time stops when you’re in this part of New York – like it never had a beginning or doesn’t exist at all, or maybe it just has no meaning.

The first time Amara came to stay with me in Pleasant Valley, and when she saw the villiage for the first time, she broke down in tears over what was now hometown... (Not suprisingly, this didn't last for very long with a beautiful Californian girl)

Anyway, long story short, there‘s not a damn thing to do around the area.

There’s also the issue that I’ve got bad social anxieties when meeting new people – probably rooting from a dysfunctional adolescence, but that’s a story for another day.

I can’t help not to usually get all ratcheted up with anxiety whenever I have to go somewhere or meet someone new; even though in the end everything works out great and people like me a lot and enjoy my company. I’m 26 years old for those of you who don’t know me…

So the story goes that last week I had to meet up with the VP of a company in Manhattan which specializes in custom glass effects and decorations for some really high end perfume companies. In the end, I’m shooting for Macy’s, so this is a necessry step in Alpha Dream’s evolution.

He wanted me to bring a sample so that he and his team could inspect the bottle physically. I grabbed a bottle of glace off the shelf, and off I go for the 30 minute drive to the Poughkeepsie Train Station. Pretty much kept to myself feeling kind of miserable…

I’m sitting on the bench at the old train station, holding the iPhone and jamming to some beats on with the headphones I made…

After a while, I gaze to my side and notice the bottle of glace sitting there, along with my folders and papers and other stuff I was brining with me.

Hmm, I thought - Everyone is raving about glace, and how nice the revised formula is with Molecule A… It dawned on me that I’ve never worn it since it came out.

Now’s as good a time as ever, I think to myself… I put on six sprays of glace to the neck & wrists, and rubbed it in just as the train becomes visible in its approach.

The self effects were powerful. What is really strange is that I do not get this effect when making a batch of glace, and being around gallons of it. Somehow this effect comes alive only when it is sprayed onto the skin. I can’t explain it, so I just theorize why and accept it for what it is.

The anxiety I was feeling before was gone. I almost forgot I was anxious in the first place, and couldn’t think for the life of me why I was before… I couldn’t help but to smile the whole ride down to Grand Central Station in Manhattan, and look out the window to marvel over the beautiful scenery of the Hudson River and Hudson highlands. The train car was virtually empty…

The meeting went really well, and I even managed to talk the executives into what was, under normal circumstances, a steep price drop for their service, which he & the sales guy have been trying very hard since to undo... lol

I hail a cab for a ride back uptown to Grand Central. The cabbie I swear to god could not stop talking if his life depended on it. He just continued on with his long winded monologue even after I got out of the car and tried to get away - talking through his window at me, holding up traffic in front of Grand Central at rush hour, with what seemed to be an endless line of pissed off New Yorkers behind him yelling to “move your ass!” … Finally he drove away after about 45 seconds and I just managed to haul myself down to the platform in time to catch the 4PM train.

Someone said that their sense and appreciation of music is enhanced, and as an audiophile myself, I can hear this effect too.

On the ride home, I was just listening to music… I couldn’t help but to notice a lot of smiles and gesturing towards me, from mostly Hispanic girls who got off in the Bronx and Yonkers area… I’m sure If I took the initiative, anything was possible. I felt strong and confident.

But on the other hand, me and Amara are basically married, and we’re both faithful to each other, even throughout what has been a lengthy divide between us.. So I keep the phones on and enjoy the ride home, still getting the occasional waft of glace, which brings an almost mechanical smile to my face every time.

It seems all the reviews about glace have been on point. I honestly never realized what a monster I'd created. In retrospect, I can’t believe that here I was, making gallons of it from scratch, and never even trying it – and here you all thought I was so smart ;)

Anyway, the day was fine, and glace was great -- and since I can get as much as I want for free, I think I’ll have at it some more!
