Can we get rid of the poke button?

When I'm accessing this site on my phone I accidentally press the 'poke' button all the time when trying to hit the 'thank' button. Can we get rid of it - I don't think it serves any useful purpose.

If there were other complaints then yeah we'd probably get rid of it, but in the 6 plus years he's sat down there waving at people you are the first one to ever complain about it, and I doubt anyone is going to get upset about being accidentally poked, so unless others start chiming in about wanted the little guy gone, he'll continue sitting there egged people to poke him. The button escapes my attention most of the time, and presumably others too, hence the lack of complaints I think. Much like the poke function on Facebook it seems like a cool thing to do a few years ago maybe but few people do it nowadays. The posts would look a bit less cluttered too. I don't mind either way but I would second removing the poke button.

Mark, if you don't remove the poke button I will "accidentally" poke you all the time, everyday until you get upset about it and remove that button. Big Grin

I only hit the poke button when I'm scrolling through a post on a tablet.

Well I am not in the best position to complain since I have not provided much of a value, yet, to this forum since I am rather new here...but I must say, the poke button is very distracting and somewhat annoying, and I fail to see what purpose it serves if any. My vote is for waving the little guy goodbye...

Awww, that's how I know I remembered to log in. My home page still says "Bella Poked You" .

I think we did remove it once for about a week back in the day. G'bye Doughboy, enjoy the vacation.
