Browser from HELL!!!!

HELP!

Anybody! Everybody!

All of a sudden, my Mozilla Firefox has been invaded by pop-up ads after all this time of using it. I have an old Dell desk top. I was told to switch over to Google Chrome, and it's worse than MozillaF! Takes forever to get anything, and any time I click on something, it takes me somewhere else!

This is aggravating as HELLo!

If anyone has any GREAT IDEAS ... besides purchasing a new computer, I'd love to hear it! Please!!!! Can't even put in my favorite Smilies!!! Yuck! *frowning with mucus running from my nose*

Thanks one! Thanks all!!!

Are you using any Add-Ons? There's Adblock Plus and AdRemover. I use Chrome, no problems. I know Firefox has similar Add Ons or Extensions, whatever they're called.

This is the Malware. This was the same problem I have received on my Mac air in the past. The pop up ads wouldn't stop on both Chromebook and Safari. Add-On or Extension didn't help or resolve.

I found one only solution..
I downloaded this Adware Medic application, its donationware. It destroyed the maleware completely. And I was thankful that my macbook was back like new!

Hope this application is available on Windows and Good Luck, MMM!!

If not, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware works well for me - though it has a free version, the paid is better.

I have Pop Blocker and AdBlock thanks to Youtube, but they're NOT doing the job even though AdBlock reads it has blocked 121 ads. It may be time to invest in a lap top, and put this old desk top to rest. Can't even add my favorite Smilies now! This sucks the BIG ONE!

Thanks you two!

Go to your Control Panel - Programs and Features, and look through installed applications. My bet is that you'll find at least one or more ad programs that installed themselves when you downloaded other applications. Delete those that look suspicious. If you aren't sure about uninstalling one or more try Googling the application name or seeing if it's listed on this site:

You can also just try using a n adware/malware program to find and remove the culprits, and as RTBoss suggested, MalwareBytes is one of the bets freeware apps.

Just downloaded the FREE MalwareBytes. Can't afford to spend right now.

Moving a little faster, but I still can't add in my Smilies.

Thanks EVERYBODY!

You're welcome. You can still go into Programs and Features in the Control Panel and see if there's anything else that looks suspicious too.

As to not being able to add smilies, I'm betting that's caused by a pop-up blocker.
