Of course there won't be many men in a crowd smelling of Old Spice in the year 2012, so obviously there was little risk of anyone getting confused about the origin of the mone cloud. Point is, you don't need to shell out a lot of cash on the cover scent.

I just read an article on perfumery that pointed out that Old Spice was originally crafted as a women's scent. I found that fascinating as it's such a male scent at this point.

I like wearing stuff like Old Spice mainly because it brings back childhood memories. I remember sniffing my dad's after shave bottles when I was 7. He had Brut, Old Spice and Tabac. I thought they smelled awesome. I'm not very impressed by the scents anymore but still think at least Old Spice smells OK.

My dad and my grandpa wore it, probably still do (they live 2000 miles away and haven't seen them in many years). It has positive scent memories for me too.

I got the original after shave and white water as Edt. Cheap as hell and quite OK for daytime wear. I don't usually wear them when i go out at night though.

I remember my dad using the Brut deoderant way back in the day before they kind of "updated" the smell. Talk about fucking manly.

I was like one day I'm going to wear that shit, started using Brut deoderant in middle school, and all of the middle school ladies LOVED IT. Too bad I didn't know what the fuck I was doing in middle school as I was short, fat, and a nerd. But you live and learn Pilot

Personally I don't like Axe body sprays because I smell like a 15 year old kid. I would prefer to spend $40 - $50 on a bottle of cologne (nothing too overpowering) and roll with that.

Just hit up a Macy's or a department store and walk to the men's section and let your nose decide. Just my opinion.....

Axe will block any Pheromones at the points you put it on. Also, it smells kinda cheap.

I would recommend the department store idea posted above. If you want to use a scent for a few days without buying, I would recommend trying surrendertochance.com
Otherwise, you can probably find full bottles cheaper than the department store prices on Amazon

Please read this before you ask me for my opinion or suggestions as to what to get. Other than that, I'm more than happy to help

Whether AXE will block the mones or not would depend on the kind I think. The Dry version, which keeps you from sweating would probably block while the other varieties just mask odor. They have quite some projection, so I can't see why they'd block anything.
I'm not a big AXE-fan, but I don't think they are hopeless products in this regard either.
I use the shit myself now and then but that's because I have a physical job and often break a sweat. At the same time I mostly work in all male environments, and I don't see any point in putting on some fancy, expensive stuff on such days.
Yes, they smell cheap and yes, many of them are best used by kids. There are a few I can live with though.
